Before you bind the grid to the desired datasource, make sure you set the grids AutoGenerateColumns property to False. I expect that will solve your problem.

in regard to display data of an excel spreadsheet

Well, if you do not want the user to interact directly with Excel, then you could use the Grid control or an equivelant or better third party control to host the user information. Or have a form that just has textboxes whose information will be sent to excel. Then google how to send information to Excel through either Excel API or VSTO.

Dim Col1 as Collection
Dim Col2 as Collection
'Add 10 items to the Collection object Col1.
Set Col2 = Col1 'What it really does, whether "Col2" has a copy of the collection "Col1" or ref of the collection "Col1".
Thanks,

Try changing one of the items in Col1 and then view the same item in Col2, that will give you your answer.
|
|
|
|
|
Col2=col1 as reference, if u assign a object to another objects (not only collection) it will always reference
check the following code whit lable control
I think u will understand
Dim lbl1 As New Label
Dim lbl2 As New Label
lbl1.Text = "Am label 1"
lbl2.Text = "Am lable 2"
MsgBox(lbl1.Text)
MsgBox(lbl2.Text)
lbl2 = lbl1
MsgBox(lbl1.Text)
MsgBox(lbl2.Text)
lbl1.Text = "Code Project"
MsgBox(lbl1.Text)
MsgBox(lbl2.Text)

Hello,
I am developing an Smart Device application in Vb2003. I want to store objects stored in Collection in a file. While doing the process, I get IOException on first creating FileStream. It says need to set Security for File I/O permissions. Can anyone help me, what I need to do and how do I achieve it.
Any help, guidance is highly appreciated.

Hi,
I got a problem when my application migrated from VB6 to VB.NET. The problem is "Couldn't resolve default property of object adresse."
Here is the sample code:
Friend ReadOnly Property adr() As rsd
Get
'UPGRADE_WARNING: Couldn't resolve default property of object adr. Click for more: 'ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/commoner/redir/redirect.htm?keyword="vbup1037"'
Return mA
End Get
End Property
Here rsd is structure type.
Could anyone of you please guide me how to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance,
AR Reddy

Rewrite the line to specify the property that should be returned. Using "default properties" is considered bad practice anyway, but, sadly, VB6 users rely on it way too much.

salam ellayan wrote: -how can i compress an image using VB.NET ??????
Most image formats are already compressed, so you're not going to get much more than what's there already. But, like I said, MOST formats... So, which image format are you looking to compress and what are you trying to achieve??
salam ellayan wrote: what is the imports system.* that i can use it with this statment:

This is a bad line of code, for many reasons, but the answer is the question. It is System.Drawing . If you need the Import for the PictureBox , which you shouldn't, it's System.Windows.Forms .

JPEG is already a compressed format. Trying to compress an already compressed file isn't going to get you anywhere.
JPEG uses a "lossy" compression, so the more you compression the image data, the more the image becomes distorted. It also cannot be "reinflated" to it's full previous quality.

hi
i need something called POCKET PC OCX
if u konow anything about it plz forward it to me
thanks anyway

There's no such thing. "Pocket PC" is just that, a PC that fits in your pocket. "OCX" is just another term for an ActiveX component.
