This may be an internet explorer setting or not, but it's driving me crazy. When I click on the article comments at the bottom of articles, the dhtml type thing engages but then, and this is the crappy part, ie reloads the entire page. This is some bigtime flicker and it's driving me crazy. Again, I'm not sure if it's a change in CP or IE but I'd appreciate any help that anyone has.

Here's a suggestion. I'd like to be able to configure my profile so that when I go to the "What's New" page and click on links, it opens new windows instead of opening the articles in the same window.

The debate about new windows vs current window is an old and bitter one. Bowing to standards I'm minimising the number of new windows that open up.
As Paul says, there is always Shift+click or right-click/Open New Window.

That's why I said make it a user preference in "My Settings". That way you can please everyone. Just default to your standard but allow your user community to set their preferences.

I second the option. It would be handy to have it as a preference as it would have zero disturbance for those that don't want it but would make it ideal for those that do.
I'm guessing that the 'new' stuff is generate periodically to reduce server load and to make it a static SSI so having it as a preference would mean that the page couldn't really be pregenerated. If that is the problem then say so and I'm sure creative solutions could be found (e.g. generate two static pages and SSI the right one depending on use preference - that would be my first pass).

Unfortunately rewriting the scripts so that a user can check a box which will direct the servers to generate either target=_blank links or standard links is a whole lotta work for questionable gain. I simply can't justify spending time on something like that when there are so many other things to be done.

Russ, I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm saying it won't happen in the next couple of weeks. It's not a huge amount of work, but neither are the 100 other things on my TODO list. Together they do add up so I prioritise.

Apparently, the CP editors are now very efficient. My latest article went from "Unedited" to edited in less than 48 hours. Unfortunately, this means I can no longer make article modifications myself. And, as I've grown accustomed to having the ability to tweak and fine tune my wonderous prose for at least a couple of weeks (sometimes months) after posting, this new speedy turnaround thing distresses me.
So, I'd like to suggest that authors be allowed to edit their articles for at least a week after posting.

I see your point as well.
Maybe in the submission wizard there could be an allocation for it to be a draft, and let you set how long the draft status will last for.
And it would also show up as being a draft rather than unedited.
But it is good to see so many articles being edited.

Could you please make the search better? I just searched for movewindow and, of course, I get 0 hits. Wassup wit dat? I'm tired of having to go to codeguru or google to do searches for articles.

What exactly are you expecting to find when you search for 'MoveWindow'?
Our current search will find either all articles that mention 'movewindow', those that have it in their titles, or those that have 'movewindow' in their descriptions. We don't have a dedicated API reference but if you can suggest a way that would improve the results I'm all ears.
BTW - I did a search for 'MoveWindow' and got 17 hits. I'm rebuilding all the search indexes now to ensure that they are in sync

I was expecting to see all the hits for articles that mention the term "MoveWindow". I frequently do searches and get no hits when I know for a fact that the term I just searched for is in articles.
I just did a search too and got 19 hits. I'm not sure what's going on but I know it's not the first time this has happened. I'm just used to going to google and doing "codeproject movewindow" and getting my hits that way.
Honestly, i think you have an intermittent problem. Perhaps it has something to do with the indexes since "all of a sudden" there are hits.

I did a full rescan of the files after I got your message and have ensured that scans will be kept up to date from now on. It was a problem, but hopefully it's now an ex-problem.

Breaking the 'what's new' is a great idea (in fact I did it for the newsletter and will extend it).
Forum subscriptions: the plumbing is half in place but the hardware (a faster and dedicated mailserver for this stuff) isn't. It will happen though.

It's a great product (mostly written by me of course;) ) and will soon be launching in the US - sadly there no time frame for Australia yet.
However, DigiGuide supports listings fro other sources so anyone could create files in DigiGuide format...hint-hint.

I was just browsing the demographics section and was wondering if you could put in a table that shows the number of articles that have been posted from each country of origin.
For example
USA 1000
India 700
UK 500
Australia 0 
Etc, as most people who post articles do fill out thier profile fully....

i added few comments to RGTree
i wanted to see them so i set "Last Week" and set-options
it returned back to my original "All" filter
the same with "Last Week" and refresh (F5)
