This is not explaining anything. What are you using ? Are you using "setTimeout" JS method or "Timer" control in the "AJAX Toolkit" ? What is the error you are getting ?

Please stop posting same question. Follow the previous thread which you created. What do you meant by nothing is happening ? Are you getting any error ?

It has a InsertCommand property. Write your query there.

I am working on a project and I am a bit stumped with sorting of a Gridview. I am creating a DataTable, and one of the columns is populated with decimal numbers ranging from -100.00 to +100.00. I then DataBind the DataTable to the GridView, and then sort on the column. The problem is its sorting it as text, not as decimal numbers - so its sorted something like this: 9.33, -7.6, 3.3, 2.02, 14.6, -1.8, -1, 0.99, etc which isn't at all what I want! How can I make the GridView realise the data is decimal, not text, and sort correctly. I am almost at the point where I might just insert the numbers back into SQL as decimal, and then read it back in sorted!

Do you have all column type specified for your data table ? If yes, take a DataView from it and use sort functions on the DataView and bind DataView to the grid.

Doubt about 'Session'

When a client is connected with the server, a session is assigned with that client uniquely, now a sessionID is stored as cookie on the client's system.
Now, i m trying to check the value of this ID, as Session.SessionID
but, each time the page is re-loaded, the ID changes .... !
Why does the ID change ?
Is there anything wrong in my code, or the ID actually changes when the page is re-loaded ???

You're storing a cookie ? I don't believe the session does this by default. One good thing about the Session is that, unlike cookies, the user cannot turn it off.

I have tested that (posted) code for both IE 6.0 and Firefox 2.0
Both are showing similar behavior !!!!

Try to replicate this issue in an empty web app. If it occurs, then the problem is with your server's configuration (machine.config). If not, the problem is only application-level. My guess is that this is the case: see if you have a really low session Timeout set, or if you have a Session.Abandon() command somewhere in your program.
