Looks like you need to contact your server provider.

You can show the error message to them. They will have idea on that

Dear All
I want to construct a website like wikipedia using asp.net 2.0. Please guide me briefly how to build this type of website and what would be the Database design for it.
With Regards

I guess you'd have a db that's designed to take a page, I would presume as HTML, and index it's html against search terms. So you do the search, grab the result, and display it.

in search for resolution i came to url rewriting.
Among other problems like postbacks ther is another one
Subdomain rewriting...
I was trying to make rewriting of subdomain url rewriting using HTTP module but with no success. (eg. http://subdomain.domain.com/default.aspx rewrite to http://www.domain.com/default.aspx?id=subdomain)
Whenever I try to rewrite full URL I get error telling me it’s not supported J. As Url rewriting is doing internal address rewriting it is normal to get that kind of error but how to accomplish that kind of thing in ASP.NET?
P.S. my dev machine is WinXP Pro (one possible and default web site) no DNS.
So I use hosts. file for host heading that site in combination with setting IIS web site host header names
You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.

Could you use Server.Transfer or Response.Redirect?

I guess you've found that it's not. You'd have to build a new timespan object, dividing every individual part by 3.

Use the timespan's TotalSeconds property, or a related one, to get the number of time units, divide that by three.

you are using SMTP Server to send mail using asp.Net not Exchange Server.
Your send item is the part of ExchangeMailBox . If it's a .pst file then also its alos takes data from Exchange only.
while sending mail using asp.net, data never pass to your Exchange server, that's why you did'nt get in your sent item.
Hope this clears you !!!
cheers,
Abhijit

If you send mail using MAPI, it will go through your mail program,

1 - with a try/catch block, I guess
2 - because it's presumably sending a query to CR that is invalid.
3 - because using auto generated stuff always sucks

Yes. I second that now. Do you remember we had a discussion on this. I found you are correct later. So I changed the way I used to generate markup. Thanks for that

here is the generated code
<form id="Form1" method="post" runat="server">
<cr:crystalreportviewer runat="server" id=rpViewer
ReportSource="<%#D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MersaalStaff\Administrator\StmtRprt.rpt%>" >
</cr:crystalreportviewer>
</form>
the error says "CS1026: ) expected"
Could you advise the error please Mr. Graus
Thanks in advance

I got that Visual Studio 2003 does not recognize the tag cr:crystalreportviewer
and this is the error source
So, how to embed a crystaReportViewer in my aspx page?

Hi everyone,
While pressing on SUBMIT button, i want confirmation box with selected text.
Suppose some making an order of some shares for some values.
I want confirmation that you are going to place an order for X share for X rates. are you sure?
How to do with ASP.NET? I have AJAX Toolkit also. I have tried confirmation box of AJAX but not getting dynamic text.
Thanx in Advance

If I faced this problem, I would do the follwoing:
I will set the submit button property visble = False , Caption="Yes"
and create another invisible reset button with caption = "No"
and invisible Lable to hold the confirmation message
and pushButton with caption = "Submit/Send" which is actually not a submit button
Once the user click the virtual submit, set all invisible controls to visible, generate the message with dynamic text and path it to the lable
If the user clieked "Yes" it will submit
If he/she clicked "No", the form is cleared and set visible controls to invisible again
I hope you like the idea

Thx for reply.
Solution which you give is alternate solution for me. With your suggestion it will work. but can't we popup message into messagebox like desktop application?
|
|
|
|
|
Here is a quick example, you would want to make this a dynamic function though to get whatever values you need from the form controls.
<asp:Button ID="Button1" OnClientClick="return confirm('You have selected \'X\' number of shares....'); " runat="server" Text="Button" />

The only way is javascript (like shown in the below posts)
But, take care that client can disable javascript code
