Yes, gridview with a column with edit buttons seems fine..
Then..
|
|
|
|
|
Then the user would click the button and go to another form where they would complete a small form filling in their details and click send, that appointment would then be set to that user.
Come on do I have to explain everything to you

Ok, what would be the code and database query like?
I am new and so the trouble

I think you need to buy an asp.net book and start learning asp.net
We cant provide you with the code, we are giving away free help not doing your work for you.

Thank you for the message.
How do you think I can handle the 24 hours time per day in the database..
There might be some which may have appointment and some which may not have?
Thank you in advance

Why dont you put a head tag in then?
|
|
|
|
|
it have error.
Error 3 Only Content controls are allowed directly in a content page that contains Content controls.

Ive managed to put a tag in my masterpage which works fine
dont put a content placeholder tag in your masterpage
|
|
|
|
|
Its not necessary that you should write the JS inside the head tag.
You can write the JS inside the Content tag.
EVEN THE WORD IMPOSSIBLE SAYS I M POSSIBLE.
|
|
|
|
|
In fact,you can write your javascript is separate js file,
and then import the js file in masterpage header...
hope this is useful for you~
Stick To .Net

You did not type an error message.

Does dict-large.txt file exist in application folder?
If it exist then why did you get file path from local machine?
If it does not exist then you can not make server.MapPath
try this if it does not exist.
string filepath = "C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents/Visual Studio 2005/sample/dict-large.txt";
StreamReader srDictionary = new StreamReader(filepath);

The dict-large.txt file is in the solution explorer itself

Well its obvious it dooesnt recognise the file location.
You sure this is correct file location?
It might not recognise it because there is spaces in the file address

I doubt ASP.NET can access files in this way. You need to use "Server.MapPath" to map the file names.

Hi,
Currently Iam familar with firefoc and IE7 when designing a website.But IE6 is realy my nightmare because it is different completely different than the two.I used to check the website in IE7 and firefox.But I didn't know that IE6 is that different from both.Iam checking my website in screen 800x600 most of times because it is the most difficult.I face these difficulties because The manager want me to make design that is stretchable(doesn't need the horizonal scrolling to view the whole page).
Do any one know why IE6 display pages very different than IE7.
How does it understand padding,margin,css,div?
I am too late but i will never give up
|
|
|
|
|
Its just the way the browser renderes the CSS. IE tries to guess what you want from your design but firefox shows you the errors in your css.
i cant list all the differences that IE6 has compared to IE7, its best you look for an article to help you with each indivdual problem you have with the display.
I personally would design for a stretch as well as it seems like a waste of space to design for 800x600 on a big screen.

Need help on exporting to excel from datagrid. (I dont want third party tool). I tried to render the data to HTML as given below:
response.Clear();
response.ClearContent();
response.ClearHeaders();
response.Buffer = false;
response.ContentType = "application/ms-excel";
response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", string.Format("attachment;filename={0}.xls", StrFileName));
StringWriter stringWrite = new StringWriter();
HtmlTextWriter htmlWrite = new HtmlTextWriter(stringWrite);
DataGrid dg = new DataGrid();
dg.DataSource = dr;
dg.DataBind();
dg.RenderControl(htmlWrite);
response.Write(stringWrite.ToString());
response.End();
It works fine if i edit the file and save. I tried to create new worksheet in the same excel file and saved this changes, new temp folder has been created. (filename_files as like HTML files if you save any web page)
Please let me know how to avoid this?
