Like the first guy said, there's many bit's of code out there for sending email. You probably want to be careful putting actual email addresses in the forums like this, could get a bit spamtastic.

Does anyone have any clue of the code used to get a user's IP address?
At the moment i'm using
HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR"];
but i'm having trouble implementing it and am not sure if it's the right method to use
Thanks

So, how do y'all implement inserts when working with a GridView?

Possible you could be a little more specific? Do you mean on the backend, or how do we display empty boxes?
|
|

I actually meant to ask in general. How do you add rows on the front end; using a footer or other empty row, or some people add an empty row on the back end then render it for editing, etc. I'm very new to this fly in the ointment of ASP.NET and I'm not looking for solutions, but just a feel for what's done out there.

We've always used the footer, which worked a lot better in the datagrid. We've had to do a bit of fiddling to fix the problem where the footer doesn't show if there's no data in the grid (i.e. adding the first record), but hey...

I'm not sure what you are asking is possible. You can send e-mail using asp.net but I dont think you can check if an inbox recieves new e-mail
