Do not use words like URGENT in your subject line. It is considered rude since people may help at their free leisure and time.

What have you done so far? No one is going to be able to help you without seeing what you have done and it's pretty much impossible with the vagueness of your post.

No. Try google. For database connection string, look at www.connectionstrings.com[^]. A little brain work and looking at the connection strings used for Oracle, I hope you can figure it out.

Kind of last minute isn't it?
amistry_petlad wrote: from sql server side so need ODP.NET
Conceptually, should not be a whole lot different. If I recall, ODP.NET is just about as straightforward as ADO.NET. Been a while since I've done anything Oracle-wise. You may be better off telling the interviewer that you come from the SQL Server side, and are researching (expanding your knowledge) other databases such as Oracle, and other databases. If the gig is meant to be for you, they will appreciate your honesty and hopefully see that you are someone who is willing to learn new things on the job.
Good luck with your interview

Hi,
How do i clear session in my asp.net page?
If i click the log out button then it'll go to default page.But if i copy the link name of that page and paste that means it'll automatically goes to the corresponding page.I dont know how do clear that and how to overcome this?
If any one know this plz help...

Use Session.Abandon . It will abandon the session after the current page, so that the next page gets a new session.

Hai all
I have a doubt that i have open and read a notepad file delimited words with the help of StreamReader class from system.IO and split funciton and here i need to show up to end user that which part of word in a text file is being read. for example when you copy a file the windows dialog will show which file is being copied and location where it is going to be copied.
i tried by placing my label inside the loop but i am getting the contents after the whole text file is read.
can any one give me a chance to know how to do it .

What does this have anything to do with ASP.NET?

You mean that you have a question?
Why do people from India always say "doubt" when they mean "question"? Is it the same word in Hindi?

That's because your changes just ends up on the message queue, they are not handled until the main loop resumes, i.e. after your method finishes.
Use the DoEvent method to handle the message queue while you are in a loop.
Alternatively, run the method in a separate thread, and use Invoke to change the label from the UI thread.

I've always wondered that.

Sub FileRead()
Dim fileread As String
fileread = Server.MapPath("Task17072008.txt")
Dim filestream As StreamReader
filestream = File.OpenText(fileread)
Dim readcontents As String
readcontents = filestream.ReadToEnd
Dim textdelimiter As String
textdelimiter = ","
Dim splitout = Split(readcontents, textdelimiter)
Label1.Text = readcontents & "<br>"
Dim i As Integer
For i = 0 To UBound(splitout)
Label2.Text &= splitout(i) + "<br>"
Application.DoEvents()
Next
filestream.Close()
End Sub
</br></br>
showing doevents is not a member of system.web.HTTPApplicationState.

Oh, so it's a web application after all?
I assumed that it wasn't, as what you are asking about so obviously doesn't work in a web application.
The Label object that you are trying to change doesn't correspond to anything that is visible anywhere, not even in a browser somewhere else in the world. The Label object is just part of the control tree of the page that is being created, it's not until your code finishes, the page is rendered into an html document, the document is sent to the browser, the browser parses the document, and displays it as a page, that the result of code that the Label object rendered is visible anywhere.
To display anything in the browser while the page is being created, you would have to write part of the page to the response stream and flush it, then write Javascript code blocks to update an element in the page for each update. This means that you have to output all the html code for the page yourself, and can't have any markup code in the .aspx file at all.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

You can create comma saperted string and pass it to proc and get stored into table. At the time of display selected value you need to split it with ',' and then select the item of combo.
Please be sure about the lenght of table field and stored procedure param.
