You can call it comboBox
If you want to create your own control then you will have to write large bunch of code in javascript
There are 3rd party combo box available check them you can use them

case 1: local web service
I am able use the method in asmx file in my aspx i think it is a local web service
case 2: Remote web service
I am able to use the method remotely also by taking web reference in my solution explorer. Following link is free Web service to get Stock Quote of the company by passing the company symbol.

where i am actually using SOAP I don't under stand can u please tell me where i am using SOAP.
Is any thing more i need to learn about web service, can u any one give me good links to download samples on web service

Can u see GetQuote?? THis is one function defined in that site, and u want to use that function to get Quotes of stocks right???
For that u call that function from ur site. THis mean u create an object of that function and accessing that from that host site.
This terms as Object Access...
And protocol for this is called Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

in my application i am using radio button list
this radio button list is binding from database
this is running successfully
but i want one will be checked by default
my code vb code is
str1 = "select Junior_Senior from Size where Sch_Pro_Id=" & Sch_Pro_Id & " group by Junior_Senior"
Dim ds As DataSet = fld.fildata1(str1)
RadioButtonList1.DataSource = ds

Do one thing after binding the list
if (RadioButtonList1.Items > 0)
{
// 0 for first should default selected depends on you which one
// should be default seletced
RadioButtonList1.Items[0].Selected = true;
}
Make sure that should get called only once
While postbacks and user revisits this page it should not get called

Wow someone actually showed there code.
To make one radiobutton checked all you need to do is:
if (RadioButtonList1.Items.Count > 0)
{
RadioButtonList1.Items[0].Selected = true;
}
That should sort out your problem.

hi i am usign mater page which left panel is filled with category from database i use iframe so that value not goes out from panel. when i click on any catgory(which already a linkbutton) then open a new page. but page is open in this left panel while i want a new page we can say page will open on iframe parent form.

If code you mean C# or VB.NET, then yuo need to make an AJAX call to run that code in the first place. Of course, you're already using an AJAX lbirary, so....

There's a ton of code involved, and really, it would make more sense for you to buy a book and work through it. You're trying to understand some complex things for a beginner. No point in you using code you haven't learned properly.
You need to make an AJAX call to run C# code and get back a result telling you if your main code should run. I think that's a little messy.
