I dunno?

Try using google, but you will have to be very much more specific.

Hello,
I am trying to set up a 'single login' setup between my web site and a message board site (WebSiteToolbox) that is hosting the message board for my site. They provide a few APIs using URL parameters that can create a user account and can log a user into the site. I have it working right now so that, when a user is created on my site, an account is created at the message board site.
The problem I am having is in how to securely log the user in when they log into my site. The API provided is here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/support/61[^]
It would be easy for me to use this URL so that, when they click a link to the message board, it goes through this API...however, if I do that, I am sending the password around in the URL parameters which, even through SSL, wouldn't be secure (am I correct here?).
I then tried moving to building this up on the server and sending it to the SSL url using a POST request. This works in that it makes the request and logs me in...but it logs me in on the server...not on the client.
How do I get this login credentials down to the client? I can't really use client side code here because xmlhttp can't go cross domain.
Is there a way to make the request on the server and get the results down to the client so they are logged in automatically once they have logged into my site?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Steve

Have you tried contacting support with your message board site?

Yes...their first response was pretty much to use the web API but to construct the url on the server...which really doesn't address my concern of sending the password back down as HTML to the client and/or in calling out to their url with the password appended as a URL parameter...
I have another open message with them, but am no expecting a solution from them at the moment. I am thinking I may be out of luck but figured I'd check on here for any other suggestions...

That's too bad. I would be concerned about that, too. Figured someone from their tech support would address a solution for you.

This has nothing to do with ASP.NET. How do you hope to crop it ? I mean, how will you know where to crop ?

I'm guessing they do the co-ordinate grabbing with javascript, not a java applet. Then they just crop on the server. That part is obviously trivial, once you have the coordinates.

He gave you an idea how they might do it. Makes sense and shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

I'm not sure what you want, or how it relates to ASP.NET.

I would suggest that if you don't know, you're not likely to pass. I personally have no idea.

Amit,
I don't think that this is right community where you can get an answer to your question.
In between, as you said you want to do some project on Firewall, but it is itself a huge topic to discuss. What I would suggest will be to select a topic on your own(that means what exactly you want to do).
Technology / Language is the secondary thing which could be decided after you have the requirements.

Write a javascript function which can check the extension of the file before uploading.

hi friends,
I have a sp for delete like this
ALTER procedure [dbo].[pr_DeleteCampus]
(
@campuscode smallint
)
as
delete from campus
where campuscode = @campuscode
but when i pass the parameter in the method and do NUit test like this
public void deletecampus(int campuscode)
{
campuscode = 7;
Assert.That(7, Is.Not.EqualTo(campuscode));
}
It throws an error
Sql Error Exception:Exception Procedure or Function sp_name expects parameter '@campuscode',which was not supplied.

This code doesn't call the proc, so a piece is missing.

I have a dll which calls the procedure. The same method works for select stored procedure option.
