U can use html object tag for this..
for video it is something like this
<OBJECT ID="MediaPlayer" WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="250" CLASSID="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701"
STANDBY="Loading Windows Media Player components..." TYPE="application/x-oleobject">
<PARAM name="URL" value="<%=str%>">
<PARAM name="autostart" VALUE="true">
<PARAM name="ShowControls" VALUE="true">
<param name="ShowStatusBar" value="false">
<PARAM name="ShowDisplay" VALUE="false">
<param name="FullScreen" value="<%=scrmode %>" />
<EMBED TYPE="application/x-mplayer2" SRC="<%=str %>" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/Downloads/Contents/Products/MediaPlayer/" NAME="MediaPlayer" WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="250" ShowControls="1" ShowStatusBar="1" ShowDisplay="0"> </EMBED> </OBJECT>

if your using System.DateTime.Now in Page_Load then it definately Refresh the Data.
nithydurai wrote: but the system date will be automatically refresh
what does it mean ? you want to refresh date and time after some specific operation.
You can use Ajax For That.
Let me know if you have any issue !!!

After hosting to the net whether the system will automatically get refreshed the system date and time or not

If you need just refresh the page, add
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1"></meta> to the
<head> </head> part.
If you need to postback the page use the java script timer.

hi all
i have near about 1,00,000 records to display
I am using datagrid to display this record with custom paging.
I am displaying 5000 records at one time.
Now my problem is when page loads the records displayed but when i press next button the next 5000 records not loaded may be because of large data.. but i cannot decrease the number of records
could anyone tell me anyother solutions

Is it really necessary to show that many records at once? You should really consider redesigning the paging so the user isn't overwhelmed with so much at one time. Something like 50-100 records per page.

First All , with in few day there are more than 10 same question post in CP , that they need show huge amount of data in there wep pages .
This is not and never be the right /Correct Approch to do this thing.
First of All Ask yourself or your client is it realy necessary to display that amount of data . if yes then Why ??? if your client ask you to do that way try to make them understand that this could be hugh performance overhead of there application and this is not a best apporch.
Please Try to use Filter and Show as minimum as possible ! That will incress Performance of your application.
Hope you got my point !!!!

Hello,
After completing a new asp form page, I decided to rename the text boxes using a more appropriate value. When I did so, I got an alert that linking might be affected by renaming, but I have had this many times when making a desktop application, so I continued along with the renaming. However, now, as I am attempting to put the code behind the controls, none of the controls appears in the intellisense drop down box. I have tried to add new controls as well with the same problem. I was looking to the Web designer code so that I could "remove" the first boxes, but I cannot find that either. What am I doing wrong?

I am using the asp:FileUpload to upload files as seen below but i want to save the target name as different name (GUID) with the same source extension? how can i do that?
string strFileName;
strFileName = myFile.FileName;
myFile.PostedFile.SaveAs(Server.MapPath(".") + "//galery//" + strFileName);
|
|
|
|
|
Just Append your file name wil GUID
System.Guid.NewGuid().
Step 1 : Get Only File Name
Step 2 : Get GUID using System.guid.NewGuid();
Step 3 : Get File Extention
Step 4 : Create File Name By (Steo1 + Step 2).step3
Step 5 : Save It

I am using the asp:FileUpload to upload files as seen below but i want how can i make sure the file was successfully uploaded?
string strFileName;
strFileName = myFile.FileName;
myFile.PostedFile.SaveAs(Server.MapPath(".") + "//galery//" + strFileName);
i thought of File.Exist but what if the file was partially uploaded due to some connection failure?
|
|
|
|

If it was only partially uploaded, if the upload process ended, do you think you'd get a postback in your page ?

well, can i ask you this question:
will not uploaded any part of the file to the web server until the postback in my page?

Response.Redirect("UploadSuccess.aspx"); Response.Redirect will be executed only after saving the file.
