So are you wanting to know how to put the SQL statement together?

Hi all,
i have made a dll in C# in which i have enabled COM settings. In its debug folder i am getting a .dll file and a .tlb file. Now, what i want is i want to use this dll in my vc6 application.
i have written this line of code in my stdafx.h file
#import ".\Debug\QuoteQuad.tlb" raw_interfaces_only
now what i wanted to know is how could i get its uuid
(__uuidof(My_managed_class_uuid_goes_here))
can anybody help me in this
thanks in advance

Add the named_guids attribute to your #import statement.

Well, other than the things you've already written there's not much to "get".
What doesn't work?
Does it compile and if it doesn't; what error messages do you get?
What does your #import statement look like exactly?
What does your statement that uses __uuidof() look like exactly?
Tip: the imported typelib will get a namespace of its own so you have to prefix the CLSID with the namespace unless you've written something like using namespace MyTypeLib; .

(void**) &pISL );
if ( SUCCEEDED ( hr ) )
{
}
else
{
}
</what>
my project name is
namespace QuoteQuad
interface _Demo

I'm making a qualified guess regarding the name of the GUID for the server, but based on the above I think that the call should look like this:
HRESULT hr;
QuoteQuad::_Demo* pDemo;
hr = CoCreateInstance( __uuidof( QuoteQuad::CLSID_QuoteQuad ),
NULL,
CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER,
__uuidof( QuoteQuad::_Demo ),
(void**) &pDemo );
I don't understand why you're using IShellLink when you say that the interface you're trying to use is _Demo .

As I said: I'm making a qualified guess about the name of the CLSID for the server you're trying to create. Apparently I guessed wrong.
In your target directory you have a *.tlh file that is generated by the preprocessor from the typelib you imported that should be named QuoteQuad.tlh.
Open it! You'll find the correct names for the GUIDs there.
Even the IntelliSense should provide you with the members of the namespace after you've typed the name of the namespace followed by the scope operator, e.g QuoteQuad::

I'd be shocked if start menu search indexed the system32 folder. Have you tried to "Run" what Jijo suggested you?

It looks like there are some Features removed from Windows Vista[^]. Also, Jijo's modified reply to you has a link to a freeware clipboard viewing utility for Vista.

Better to draw your own button
|
|
|
|

to draw our own button we have to draw circle ?
there is no any other solution?

In my experience, if ur programming language is VC++ and u r using CButton u have to overide DrawItem . I wonder anyboy here to correct me if am wrong?
