There can be many reasons behind it
1. Make sure that same id(ListBoxSites) is present in aspx part also
2. if you are using VS 2005 and above check designer file for this id ListBoxSites
3. Check the File name Filname.aspx Filname.aspx.cs and class name in Page directive CodeBehind="FileName" Inherits="NameSapce and FileName"
Thanks and Regards

THANK YOU...very much for your help and assistance. Actually, what seems to have happened is that I used this page to construct another page and the application got "confused" and did not recognize which page the control was on. But it was your "take a look at" suggestions that got me to thinking about it in a different way. Many thanks for your input. I hope we talk again.....Best Regards, Pat

Please explain your question. What is the error message? Sql connection timeout error?
|
|
|
|
|
It is showing following Error:
"## Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. ##"
|
|
|

vivek your question isn't much clear, anyhow assuming you deployed on live/test server and you start getting timeout error within 48 hrs. The problem could be with your connections, that is there might be some useless opened connections left. check if its not happening in your case.

You can’t find any built in controls in asp.net for this purpose. You have to develop your own control or buy any third part controls.

This has nothing to do with ASP.NET. You need to contact the domain provider for this.

Sir, i am a final year Bsc student. For completing a good project in asp.net requires a good amount of money that i cant afford. I am a poor student. So i can afford the fees for studying a project in an institution. So please help me by sending me the source code of a full project done in ASP.NET. So that i can do my project with the guidance of my teachers, friends and peoples like you.

I don't think so unless you are going to host it. You will get Visual Studio Express editions which are free. For databases you can use, SQL Server Express edition, MySQL which all are free. So how it will be costly then ?

This is not good. You should try something and ask for specific help.

How rude of you! This site is not a place for people to ask for others to do their work for them Do your own bloody work. Enough said.

Maybe I'm just using this all wrong, but I'm creating a server control and I want to be able to select the style classes, but no mater what I can't get the dropdown to work.
I am creating this as a Control not a WebControl.
[Category("Appearance Username")]
[DefaultValue("")]
[CssClassProperty]
public string ULabelCssClass
{
get
{
if (controlStyle.CssClass == "")
{
return string.Empty;
}
return this.controlStyle.CssClass;
}
set
{
controlStyle.CssClass = value;
}
}
private Style controlStyle = new Style();
I'm not getting any build errors, so I'm at a loss as to why this isn't working.
Thanks in advanced.

Sometimes all it take is go to bed and get a new perspective on things. Because I know someone some where will eventually look this same problem up in the future. I'll show how I solved this problem.
public Style CssClass
{
get
{
return (ViewState["CssClass"] != null ? (Style)ViewState["CssClass"] : new Style());
}
set
{
ViewState["CssClass"] = value;
}
}
This works exactly as it should. No special requirements involved.

I appear to have broken my ASP.NET/IIS configuration.
Everytime i goto round my localhost/*.ASPX i get a 'Server Application Unavailable' prompt.
I have reinstalled Asp.Net via aspnet_regiis.exe and reinstalled IIS. But still no luck!
1) Does anyone have any ideas?
2) I think it maybe something to do with my ASPNET user - does any know what the requirements are for this user?
Cheers
Rich.

Hi,
First of all would like to know what the.Net version you use?
Because one reason could be that if you are running multiple versions of .NET in your mechine,you may have to go to the ASP.NET tab in IIS and need to select the appropriate version of .NET.
Failer to do this could result in a error as such, but Im not promising that it is the only cause...
Hope it helps,
Thx,
Gayani

I'm busy on a site that uses forms authentication, but sometimes it doesn't authenticate, so I go straight to the main page, which fails because the session is no longer available. Any ideas?
