i want to change default icon of "MFC"
i want to show my own icon on each dialog
how can i do this
my icon ID is IDR_MAINFRAME
|
|
|
|
|
You must be load your icon with LoadIcon and then use of SetIcon.
|
|
|
|
|
Open your <<FileName>>.rc file (in view code mode) and rename the icon name with your own icon name. In order to do this,look for IDR_MAINFRAME in that file.The path of the default MFC Icon would be res\\<<File_Name>>.ico. Change the path to your need and copy the new icon into that particular path.

Hi,
I am confused about nested structure in c. I define a structure inside a another structure. But I am not able to allocate memmry to nested structre variable;
Code is
struct student
{
struct student *sd;
int rollno ;
struct classroom
{
int marks;
struct classroom *claas ;
};
struct classroom *croom;
};
struct student *stud = new student();
stud->croom = new student :: classroom();
I have allocated memory to classroom object using c++ method but how this can happen in c programming

Not sourcecode only in executeable form ..
like in my visual c++ project i m using different header files that need to be placed in include directory of visual studio so how to run application in any system (where visual studio is not installed)
|
|
|
|
|
You would need atleast the framework for .NET to be installed if not the Visual Studio if you are using .NET API's.
You will need a installer project where you can include all the files that are to be copied on to the target machine and specify the desired locations where installation should put your files.
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

If you will distribute an executable, you don't need to distribute header files.

Its easy..Just you need to install the VC++ Redistributables (a zip file that contains the collection of neeeded dlls) into the target system. These dlls are the runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2008 installed. You can download it from MS site...

Why do you reply to me ?
Anyway, it's not that easy anymore. This was valid for VC6 but for VC2005 you can't do it this way. You have to install the runtime libraries using a specific installer that can be found on microsoft website (here[^]). It is the case for VC2005, I don't know for 2008 though.
Woops, I think I misread your post. Sorry about that.

True..I really meant that installer(mentioned by you) available in the MS site.. Oops sorry to reply you on that thread... The Redistributable pacakage is available for visual studio 2008 also...It is available here[^]">

You mean you want to make an installer for your program ? If that's the case, take a look at InnoSetup[^] (it's free). Don't forget to distribute the release versions of your programs.

Source code or executable ??

I have a vector of millions of points that I have to sort based on their distance from the camera, in order to do that i created the following simple function object:
class PointSorter
{
public:
PointSorter()
{
points = NULL;
}
PointSorter(const PointSorter& other)
{
points = other.points;
printf("object copied");
}
PointSorter(std::vector<vl::fvec3 xmlns:vl="#unknown">* pvec==NULL)
{
points = pvec;
}
bool operator()(const unsigned int&a, const unsigned int&b)
{
return (*points)[a].z() < (*points)[b].z();
}
std::vector<vl::fvec3>* points;
};
</vl::fvec3></vl::fvec3>
then later on I do a simple
PointSorter sorter(&mypoints);
std::sort( indices.begin(), indices.end(), sorter );
</int>
this sorts the indices of my points well, the only concern is that I discovered that the object "sorter" is being copied all the time during std::sort, this shurely impact negatively the sorting performance which is already quite poor for millions of points since I have to achieve interactive frame rates for my 3d program.
Does anyone know how to pass a custom sorter object (which is not a static function) that is copied once and used all the way throughout the sorting?

Michele

what about you change the code of std::sort make it use the 3th parameters pass by reference?
