Why does it take more than one week to fix the bug which stops users from submitting articles? Can we at least know what the status of the bug is?
Thanks.

This is something Chris wants to take care by himself.

Thanks for the fix. However it seems that we have to edit existing article to make it look like correct.

If you feel like doing so, then yes, please.
Otherwise, our editors will deal with those articles.

0) Disable all of the site features for the account. Make it impossible for the account to post messages (even in articles), upload or download articles, or anything else.
1) Make it impossible for other users to respond to any message posted by the account
2) Give us a method for marking users as "Ignored" so we don't even see the accounts messages.

If you skip (1) the other users can still flame that user for some additional free bonus punishment

Yes, I agree, banning is only a temporary fix.
A better fix would be to have a parallel CP site. Banned users are simply shifted to that site, without telling them. There are fake messages & articles from CP regulars, so the parallel site seems to be the real thing.
This way the troll gets his jollies, and we get peace in the forums.

I think Joel Spolsky once said that his forum has a similar feature. Users that are "banned" can see their own posts, but no one else can.

Giving us a way to mark users as ignore...
I think you're on to something.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

Hi Chris,
"Teh" web developer[^] has become a real PITA.
Things that he's been doing:
- Disrespect and abuse other members.
- Make numerous insane posts (insane, even by his standards) and thereby flood the forum, preventing the regulars from having any SANE discussion.
- Create a very large number of totally useless threads.
- Uni-vote on almost ALL messages for no reason. I bet it is him.
- Rinse and repeat in an endless manner.
Please, can you act appropriately? Kindly have a look at how many people have signed the petition (the votes). We hope that you'd act on this on a priority basis and put an end to this nuisance.
Note: People, please do not add replies unless it is absolutely essential. Because, all the messages posted here goes into Maunder's inbox. Please sign the petition by registering your vote. 5 if you agree with me or 1 if you disagree. We'll have Chris to act on this issue based on the votes.
[Added] Chris, it appears to me that Mr. "Teh dvelpore" is busy creating new IDs and voting the petition down. Good. That must keep him busy. Kindly validate the credibility of the votes registered on this post. Thanks. [/Added]

You just broke your promise to shut up for 2 weeks. So, the "away for 2 weeks" was just another pile of bullshit, right?

That doesn't man anything. Question is, how many of the members are active members?

I think it's about 5000-6000 active members. On top of that, who knows how many actually saw the post?

Could be so. The number of members online may or may not be much of an indicator. At this moment, 14,800 are online. But, how many of those are actually participating in the forums?

If you limit it to regular lounge posters, (only forum where TWD posts) it's probably only a few hundred at most.

This account: Clickety[^]
Martin Hughes most of the time (that part I remember) hasn't been the a**hole that is now fetching 1 votes faster than "The Web Developer". This is still the account that wonderfully eloquent posts such as
The benevolent future Mrs. Martin Hughes commits to a good cause[^] link to.
However, his profile message board had some messages- including a collection of The Future Mrs. Hughes stories.
Is there anything funny going on - e.g. his account taken over by an a**hole? Or has Martin simply snapped? Any insights or guesses or invetigations that could clear the haze?
