Yeah, people can write these kind of programs, but requesting someone write one for you isn't how this site works.

I've been working furiously on my new IoC container and one of the things that it can do is enumerate the available services inside a container as well as enumerate the types that implement each service name and service type. Here's an example:
var services = from info in container.AvailableServices
where info.ServiceType == typeof(IMyService)
&& info.ServiceName == "MyService"
select container.GetService(info);
The problem is that graphics isn't my expertise, and I'm not sure if I have enough time to learn all the intricacies of either WPF or GraphViz in order to get this article up and running. I've got plenty of experience working with component architectures, but I'm going to need someone to help me get the graphical elements up and running in a short amount of time.
Any takers?

Does anyone know how to tweak windows xp so that the segmented green progress bar is a solid green colour without the vertical white line in each segement; and not have to install some other application language such as visual basic onto the xp operating system in order to run some new progress bar program.
Is there a registry editor tweak or a batch program etc; that could do this modification?
- thanks, robert w.

You are more likely to get an answer to this query if you posted it in the appropriate forum (Operating System forum, for instance)

1. I have a bunch of XP and Vista tips. Someone today asked about disabling the "encountered a problem..." pop-up. Would anyone like a compiled list of the tips I have bookmarked/piled up?
2. I have decided to start Microsoft certification--yes I know some here don't find value in it. I'd like to look at this in two parts. One, being personal experience, and two gather data from others who went through certification and compile data such as length of time to complete a course, were courses studied at the same time, any additional salary because of certification, etc.
Thanks!

I think that would be a great article.

I might not be the best person to answer this as I just last year got certifications after 14+ years as a developer. My experience with the exams is that they will test your knowledge of how things work and how to solve a problem in the recommended way (which isn't necessarily the same as the "real world" way). I haven't seen any salary differences, although that doesn't necessarily mean much. As for study time, etc., there was virtually none. I took all three exams in the same week, took them with nothing more than reviewing the MS Learning page for the exam to have an idea of what topics would have the focus for each exam (for one exam I did go to a 1 hour "exam prep" session which provided a minimum of study materials and some information on the relative percentages of questions from each focus topic.)

i want to work on something that manages staff time schedule. the rows indicate the time and the columns indicate the staff/employee. the logic of my app is when the start an end time is inputed it will color the datacells affected and show the details of the employee task. my problem is the details will appear on every datacell it will affect. is there a way in vb.net that same cells will be merged displaying a single values? i have seen an application in vb6 that display in datagrid what i need. here is the image:
www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/0054d0cdb9.jpg[^]
the image show same dates merged into a single cell and displays a single value. hope there is a way in vb.net. ive tried to search for it in the web, i cant find any samples of it.

This forum is for suggesting article ideas. You will do better asking this in one of the programming forums. That being said, you will need to use a third-party control in order to accomplish something like this.

Unless you're asking for someone to write an article about this or planning on writing one yourself, this is the wrong forum. You would do better to ask in one of the programming related forums.

Well - I've started on an article on database normalisation. The question is, do you think this would be useful/interesting? If so, I'll continue - if not, I'll stop and write an article on pig farming instead.

|
|
|
|
Of course, but it has to go over every normalization form and explain why every database created should conform to 6NF

Can you do both?

Why not, Pete. I look forward to reading this. Please take this rose as a compliment in advance.

Oh definetly !!!! it is being always a puzzled question for me. I would like to suggest that please provide every NF by taking a single example in step by step manner.Most of the people give example but they are on different data,so don't teach their need.
