There's roughly 20 items that are critical, about a dozen that are large scale, long term, and maybe 100 that are smaller tweaks.
If I sat down and brainstormed on things that can be added, changesd, improved etc I could easily quadrupal the size of the list.

em and strong work well when you want emphasis or uh, strong  on a word or phrase, but when you want or need italics and bold you get no guarantees those are what you will get with em and strong.
Now as far as I know all current browsers render em and strong as italic and bold (respectively) but that could change.

True, but in conversational speech, such as most of what we do here, em and strong are more appropriate because we don't really care how the browser renders them, we just want to emphasize our point or make it stand out. But yes, sometimes b and i are needed. Hmmm...
How about two kinds of sections for formatting: structured and formatting (OK the names aren't to great, w/e).
Formatting is like things are currently, except without small, BIG, code, and link.
Structured is em, strong, small, BIG, code, link and then right aligned you have h1 through h7, all properly CSS-ed to be appropriate headings for a message.
I think this'd be cool!

What about someone who is online but want to hide?
Then a third choice should be provided.

How about not just in bold the forum name,but apply a distinct color to the forum name,or even cool,blink the forum name...

He's referring to the big list that you see when you first click the Message Boards link, on that page only the post count and number of new posts is in bold.

I think it's be better if the "A Visit to Redmond" articals where all grouped together under their own heading... at the moment they are places all over the list at http://www.codeproject.com/interview/[^]

Is it me falling asleep or ?
I have posted an article yesterday, titled "HtmlPreview" using the live submission wizard. And, unlike what happened when I posted C# articles, this one has been immediately and automatically put in the 5th place of the "last 10 updates" in the homepage.
Of course, none of the articles before the 5th place were new or even updated (which would have been a reliable cause).
So question is, bug ? weird "last 10 updates" behaviour for articles about HTML instead of C# or C++ ?
Or is it because that's the first time I post an article with "Advanced" status level?
And I swallow a small raisin.

If you post an articel on the same day as another has been posted/updated, they go in the order they were received on that day, so if you posted an article which was the 11th new/update for that day, it would appear off the bottom of the list.
We really need a last 10 new articles and last 10 updated lists to avoid this.

Well actually no, I have posted two articles yesterday, and "HtmlPreview" (posted at 23:54 PM local time) is far behind "C# C++ preemptive Popup Killer" (posted at 16:00 PM local time).
I have check out the homepage (and did a couple of refresh to make sure the cache didn't interfere), and I am sure that something is wrong, particularly with where is "Html Preview" in the list,
And I swallow a small raisin.

As for suggestions, I would like CP people to make the "All topics" tab unfoldable with 10 more entries. Most tabs including C# and ASP.Net have almost no life, while entries in the "All topics" are delisted within a day. This deserves enhancement,

The articles on the front page are ordered first by date, then alphabetically by titles AFAIK. If yours is the only, or first one, that day, it will automatically go to the top of the list.
Also, don't forget the servers are in Canada thus are in a funky time zone (I think it's GMT-4 or -5).

Whats so funky about it? Myself and the servers are both happily in the Eastern time zone (GMT -5)

I can never remeber which articles I have rated and which I've not, so rather then letting us try and rate an article we have rated for before (and getting the 'Rating error: Please vote only once!' message), how about not showing the rate scale instead?
Or I could try to sort my head out and not be so forgetful.

Yep. That would be a nice featuire. I've often forgot if I've rated an artical or not. Would be nice if there was a little check mark or something to show that you've already rated an artical.
