You have to use some kind of PDF conversion libraries. Itextsharp[^] is an opensource project. Try that

the image u try to assign to the image control must be within some directory of ur application. It goes to show that ur lacking the basic concepts of how a web application works. You gotta understand that its not a desktop app that u can access virtually anything on ur whole PC.

Copy the images to your application directory then use ~/Imagefolder/imagename. "~/" will take you to the root directory of your application.

HI friends,
I have a web form with several controls I'm posting to a database. For two of them(textboxes) I'm looking up the values using a popop window, so the user cannot edit the actual textboxes values, they have to go through the lookup process, which populates the controls.
What is happening is that everytime I set the readonly=true or the enabled=false for these textboxes, the ViewState seems to not store their corrent values.
In both cases when I do the postback and the page comes back, the control shows up the the previous value, not the one I posted back with the page otherwise it will show the correct value(readonly = false; enabled = true)
This is the asp.net code for the textboxes:
<asp:textbox runat="server" id="txtSentBy" enabled="False" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
Any idea on this?
|

I think that's not the issue
Issue might is with updating the text box with new value.
Debug the application by putting break points and check what is happenig
Thanks and Regards

Hi, thanks for looking
How can i add a provider for the session state as one can do with the profile providers??
Example:
<providers>
<add
name="SqlProvider"
type="System.Web.Profile.SqlProfileProvider"
connectionStringName="LocalSqlServer"
applicationName="AppName" />
</providers>
This gives me error on conectionStringName and applicationName when i add it inside the sessionState
Im using this:
<sessionState mode="SQLServer" timeout="30" cookieless="AutoDetect"
allowCustomSqlDatabase="true" sqlConnectionString="..." />
But i would like to control my connectionstrings from the connectionstrings section
Thanks in advance

I am on a project that is using MVC for ASP.NET.
I want to validate which release of System.Web.Mvc currently exists in the project (release 3, release 4, etc.).
Does the MS release number have any correlation to the AssemblyFileVersion attribute that they assign to the assembly?
This is the AssemblyFileVersion that currently displays for System.Web.Mvc through Reflector:
[assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.30714.0")]
Is there any correlation here or is there another way to validate the MVC release number?

Hello everyone, I am a entry-level programmer that is having some trouble and hoping you guys can help me out. I am trying to add active directory authentication to an existing website. However every attempt has resulted in multiple errors. I was hoping someone could help walk me through all the areas that need to be changed, in the code as I said i'm an entry-level so I need to learn as much as I can. Thanks in advance to all that contribute to this solution. Which pages should I upload for you guys to get an idea of whats going on...I assume you need web.config as well as the C# login page code? Is that all...

I am designing an admin page to insert/edit information into a MS-SQL database. When I enter my page in 'edit mode' my DetailsView layout is fine and my TextBoxes are about 80%. When I enter in 'insert mode' however, my layout is not so nice, the TextBoxes shrink down to about 20%. I have been searching for a way to fix this and nothing is working. I have a feeling this is a very easy fix and I am just missing it. I would appreciate any help I could get on this, thanks in advance. I have included a portion of the code, I tried to keep it as small as possibe and still show enough information. Again thanks in advance.

Your question is a very basic question that is often asked in a beginning computer programming course. What do you think a runtime error and compile error is?

Again, this is a very basic introductory computer programming question commonly found in an intro course. What do you think the differences are? Tell what you think it is, and someone may gladly let you know if you are correct or not.
