if you want to send and read mail in intranet or internet, you alwasys need a mail server and mailclient. you can send mail from your application and if your server allows you to read then you can read mail from your application.

Abhijit

You can't. You need a mail server to send email.

I dynamically add a usercontrol (UC1) which adds another usercontrol (UC2) dynamically and i have a button in UC2 which is supposed to fire a click event. When i press the button it does not fire the onclick but when i just add UC2 directly it works. Any ideas? Oh also UC2 has an updatepanel inside of it.

if it is an emergency on your part. In fact, people will ignore it if you put such labels on your messages.

Please try to write a subject line that has any relevance to the question. Any information about how urgent the question should definitely not go in the subject line, as it never is that urgent. If it really was so urgent you wouldn't ask in a public forum, you would just pay soneone to do it.
You have to add the user controls again in every postback, otherwise the event isn't wired up to anything.

What is the best way to avoid connection, or thread pool limitations for my application? And am I doing it correctly?
I'm designing my own chat. It's necessary because my design is very different from any available out there. Because of the new security features in IE I can't use a different server than my website server for processing chat requests. I'm forced to combine my web app with my chat server.
So, my plan was to use ajax to make a page request. The page would then use asp.net 2.0's asynchronous pages feature to start a new thread and release the Thread that processes page requests. Then my plan was to have the thread wait until a new message comes in if I have no messages to send to the client immediately.
My two main uncertainties are this:
1) How do I best wait for new messages? Should I use a wait and notify? Should I use a WaitHandle(never used it before). Will I run out of threads in the thread pool from using these methods because they block? Is there a way to wait and release the threads at the same time?
2) Is there a limit on the number of connections that can be made to a web server. I want every client on my website to be able to receive notifications of new chat messages immediately, without polling. So, am I doing it right or should I use some sort of callback method that doesn't keep a connection open. is that possible???

DataTable tbl1 = dt.filltbl("select * from tbl_issue_type where id=-1", "new1");
DataRow row1 = tbl1.NewRow();
row1["issue_type"] = txt_issue_type.Text;
tbl1.Rows.Add(row1);
dt.update(tbl1, "select * from tbl_issue_type");
Page.RegisterStartupScript("myrest", "<script>alert('New issue was added successfully');</script>");
Page.RegisterStartupScript("myqd", "<script>window.opener.location.reload();</script>");
Page.RegisterStartupScript("abc", "<script>window.close();</script>");
window.opene.location.reload(); not work in my pge
actually i want to refresh my dropdown list box item after add button click my above return code is work and add new entry in database and after that i want that new value show in my dropdown list box.
I will do my best?

Hi,
why don't you use an update panel and do it from server side?

Tell the browser to load the page from the server, not just reload it from the cache:
window.opener.location.reload(true);

To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.
this information is shown in confirm box when i use as u suggest.
two buttons are there resend and cancel.
what to do now?

Ok, then you need to post a form to the page to recreate it. Does the page have a form that you can use for this?

I think you are using AJAX on this Page.Please register the javascript event with scrip manager as
ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this.Page, this.GetType(), this.ClientID, "ShowMessage();",true);
Cheers!!
