HI Hadi_Rezaie
BOOL CTestDlg::OnInitDialog()
{ L1: CDialog::OnInitDialog(); return TRUE; }
that didn't mean running OnInitDialog function again .
befor dialog is being visible you need to do some thing
like initial your varibles or add icons ....etc
this is your initial in BOOL CTestDlg::OnInitDialog()
but base class ( CDialog )has some initial so you most call initial in base class :
L1: CDialog::OnInitDialog();
I hope that's enough
and sorry if I have mistakes (I didn't speak english very well)

I have an MFC project which uses 2 views decended from CScrollView. I find that after each exit from CMainFrame::RecalcLayout my total memory allocation has increased by about 220bytes. This appears to happen during the processing of the RepositionBars function. I observed this while trying to find memory leaks using CMemoryState. I eliminated the leaks from my code but still seem to have this within "windows or MFC" code.
Does anyone know how to prevent this as this function is run everytime I swap between the views. My project is expected to be in use over an extended time so a gradual increase in memory usage is a concern. It does appear to be given back once the program completes.

"...derived from cscrollview..." ... are you sure the derived classes are not snaffling some memory away that is escaping detection? i would think (although it is entierly possible) that cscrollview would be fully tested and debugged by now as it is rather an 'old' class
maybe you have a resource that isn't being released or something more exotic than straight memory allocs that are going awry

Does anyone out there now how to create a property sheet within a Dialog Bar?
I have tried several different approaches, with no luck. I would really appreciate any advice, maybe this is not possible, if so let me know. If it is and you've done something like this please share with me how. Thanks, Rob

I'd like to program an app that can monitor incoming calls on my phone
and display caller-id (if available).
I think it has to be done with TAPI, right?
Can anyone help me?
thanks in advance
|
|
|
|

There are plenty of examples in the platform SDK.
I did some TAPI work about 3 or 4 years ago. We had an idea for an internet/TAPI
product, but it didn't get past the prototype stages. That was using TAPI 2.0,
which I don't remember much of.
TAPI is up at V3.0 I think so, you'd best look at the docs.
I think for callerID you may need a specialist card unless modems can do that
now (couldn't when I last tried, but like I said, that was a while ago).

I did a TAPI project a while back and found that I was better off in the long run to buy an Active-X component which is tested and known to work rather than try to reinvent the wheel. Depending on the environment you must live in, telphony testing can be a pain. I use SAX Comm Objects and it works well for both outbound and inbound calls. I don't think Caller ID is part of Sax Comm.

Hi
I've tried to create toolbars with disabled buttons. Doesn't work.
I've thrown in a check and discovered that someone enables the button right after my call to CToolBarCtrl::EnableButton. How can I prevent this?
I'm quite sure that's the problem because I have hot toolbars working without problems. Is there anything different with using hot toolbars compared to disabled buttons?
|
|
|
|
|
you have to use the UPDATE_COMMAND_UI handlers to disable toolbar buttons.
like this:
void CSAFileMonDoc::OnUpdateWatchStart(CCmdUI* pCmdUI)
{
pCmdUI->Enable(!m_bRunning);
}

I'm new to DirectX programming and I'm doing a breakout clone as a college project. I have to add some network functionality to my game though. I think I've got my server up and running.
I've created my socket, bound it and called WSAAsyncSelect with my own eventID and started listening. I just want to connect my client and send simple messages of 2 integers(that's all I need).
I just need some help connecting to local host to send messages. On the client I've created my socket, bound it and called WSAAsyncSelect with my own eventID and I'm trying to connect and it is failing here. Can someone please help?
Any help is much appreciated

I'm developing a Win32 SDK MDI application (no MFC). My child forms maximize, but once they become maximized, they no longer operate (I can't minimize, restore, or close them. My child WndProc is empty except a call to DefMDIChildProc. Any ideas why the child won't respond after being maximized?
Thanks in advance for any help,

this is beginning to intrigue me too ... how are you maximizing the window?

Hi Lauren. It turns out that the problem existed in my Frame Window's WndProc. You have to return '0' when you handle the frame's WM_SIZE message. Go figure.

I have an existing console app in which I need to get some information from the registry which is placed there by a regular Windows based MFC app.
I have tried WriteProfileString(), WriteProfileInt(), GetProfileString(), GetProfileInt(), etc. with no luck. Any suggestions? Thank You.

G'day Robert,
Do you know the full path of the registry key you want to access?
If so, you can use the RegOpenKeyEx, RegQueryValueEx, RegCloseKey
and other related functions.
Hope this helps.

Have a look at RegEnumKey/RegCreateKey and so on. There are plenty of
examples in the platform SDK. There are also examples on code project.

I've had some freaky stuff going on with printing for a while. I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I've got a bitmap (technically, I'm trying to write the whole screen) that I'm trying to write out to a
network printer. The code I'm working with does the following: Creates a screen-compatible memory
DC, then blits the screen into it. Converts that into a DIB, then calls StretchDibBits to the printer DC.
Works perfectly, under NT. When I try to run the same code under Win98, I have problems. The blit
works fine, but the stretch on the DIB returns an error. The return code indicates I have an
"invalid parameter". If I stretch first and then SetDiBits, the code works, but I lose all my color
information...
I'm completely confused. I've tried everthing I can think of to get this code running. For the moment,
I've just put in a check and a message box that indicates this feature is only available under WinNT, but
I'd like to fix it if at all possible.
Anyone have any ideas?
