Hey Chris,
Instead of trying to detect if the browser is mobile and then redirecting to the mobile site, why not give us a fixed domain name? That way even if the browser user agent string changes you won't have to worry.
From my earlier post you must have seen that my phone's correctly detected, yet I get the regular webpage.

I know this is your site and yours to do with as you please. I also know that I'm an a***hole at times, and not the best of members... but:
I think you need to introduce more regular checks on MVP status for those you give it to (and yes, if you want to, you can roll my status all the way back to bronze or below or just kick me out if you want to. I'm sure I've said more than enough to deserve it).
When MVP's such as Pete O' Hanlon, Marc Clifton, Sacha Barber and others (all excellent contributors to the site) are joined by the likes of this joker[^] it cheapens the whole award.
I might be being unfair, given his posts (or those that I can see) only go back to August - but some members certainly abuse privilege, and from the evidence of his posts I can only think this is so.

You definately didnt say "Abuse pointed towards any member is not acceptable" either, but thats pretty much what this jackass has done. This is over one stupid post where he was berating people for answering with a quite legitimate "Google it" when hes never taken part in one techinal thread here as far as I could see.
And as for sarcasm, if that is against the site rules you had better remove that little icon next to my name because im sure as hell not changing the habit of a lifetime to keep people happy.
Am I sarcastic, yes. Am I abusive, definately no.

Abuse directed towards any member is unacceptable and is clearly spelled out in our Terms of Use.
You guys have been around for a long time and should know a) how to ignore someone, and b) how to mark a message as Abuse and have it removed. I spend way too much time chasing abusive members but unfortunately I can't be everywhere, all the time.
I don't really see this is worth any further discussion.
Jamie: You help our readers and for that I, and our readers, are grateful. I wish there was more I could do to say 'thanks'
Martin: I've looked, I've read, but I'm failing to see what the problem is.
I do try and keep tabs on MVPs but I do also try and be careful when choosing them and apart from one member last year getting a little fruity with his language there's not been a problem that I am aware of. The MVP program is incredibly important to me because it allows me to say thank you and shine a fairly huge light on those who help others, so I am protective. However, as far as I can see everything fine, so let's just move along.

I realise now that I was wrong to single out Jamie for any special attention, and so withdraw my complaint against him.

0) MVP status is awarded for the previous year's contributions to the site. Anything done this year should have no bearing on last years award.
1) As far as I know, MVP is not based in any way on messages posted in the Lounge or Soapbox.
2) MVP status doesn't give you any extra privileges or power. All you get is a modified icon and a certificate (suitable for hanging).
I had thought that MVP status was more weighted toward article submissions for the year in question, but Jamie4c's one and only article was posted back in 2004.
For what it's worth, I don't think it would be proper to rescind MVP status unless the user in question did something truly abusive on the site. Just because he stirs folks up once in a while doesn't mean he's all of a sudden not a good programmer (which *is* why we're all here, right?). If that were the case, I wouldn't have MVP status either.

I just observed in http://lamp.codeproject.com/[^]. It is using the same survey as Main CodeProject in the homepage.
Shouldn't the sister websites be allowed to manage their own (site-specific) surveys?
