In the "CodeProject Stuff" section there is a cool thing I want, but how!?
It's the news report to the phone or something like that... Or does CodeProject have a WAP site too?
I'm tired and can't write ood English!
Good night!

But how to use it?
I found a address in the file: http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/wml_1.1.xml
Is that the WAP address!?

It depends on your phone and service provider. I have an Ericsson T39 and it allows me to put in whatever web address I want. Type it in, press go and there's the last 5 articles posted, right on my tiny 0.01 mega pixel, 3 colour screen.

Considering we all have a responsibility to the environment, how about adding something like the following to article's?
<%
if request.QueryString("print") = "true" then
response.Write "<script language=""javascript"">alert(""Please consider the environment and print conscientiously"");</script>"
end if
%> I know many find it easier to read articles on paper then on the screen (including me), but this might just get people to stop and think about how much paper their using, and if it's really necessary...

Maybe we should write shorter articles to take up less paper?
Not a bad idea, CP doing its bit for the environment.

I think I need a new quote, I am on the prowl, so look out for a soft cute furry looking animal, which is really a Hippo in disguise. Its probably me.

And we could use monocromatic color schemes to save on ink!

I second that!
I go through ink jet cartridges about once a month @ $25 each!

It would be nice to have a "Tips" section, kind of useful stuff for developers. That way, it may reduce posting stuff as "Article". I don't know if you would have any concerns with that.

I remember Paul Watson discussing how he was going to write a quick script that would allow quick snippets to be posted. It's an excellent idea.

Would it be possible to add the article date to the listing of articles found when searching. I often use this approach to search for articles by a specific author and, in some cases, it would be good to order them newest to oldest, particularly when I'm trying to identify which article has a link to the newest version of a utility library that an author might share across a number of their postings.
Does that make sense?

could we put a XML/XSL forum link on the home page?
it took me forever (well, about 5 minutes) to find the forum,, but i almost left the site!

i finally found the forum by doing just that,
xml is such an important topic, don't you think it should have a higher profile? it would get more traffic that way...

Yep - I have a semi-working version done but we've since done some replaning on what we want to offer, so something simple has turned into something un-simple so much of the initial work is being replanned (or should I just say 'planned' and be truthful about it) and rewritten.
You have no idea how keen I am to move forward on this...

You have no idea how keen I am to see the ASP.NET version!
I've been waiting for it since you said there will be one....
But what about this: Let us members have a preview look at it... only inlogged members has access to the link that take us to the ASP.NET version, and to see it you also have to be inlogged?!
So, then we all here on CP can BETA test it!
Come un now Chris! I now your're in a "replanned" state with the ASP.NET version but... PLEASE!

I bet you were ones of those children who woke their parents up a 4am on Christmas morning to open their presents.
Waiting is half the fun, don't you know

Programming is great. First they pay you to introduce bugs into software. Then they pay you to remove them again.

We're currently reworking not just how we are rewriting the site, but the entire way in which we'll be approaching development. I hate to say it but it looks like we're getting organised.

Any chance you'll be documenting these "adventures" so that we can read all about it in a series of articles. I'm always interested to read about these kind of endeavours.
