You have already posted this question on this forum less than day ago. Reposting it is considered rude and won't help you to get more answers.
Instead, you perhaps should modify the original question so that it would be easier or more tempting to answer. One way to do this could be posting your current code (or part of it) and clearly pointing out the problem or what you have already tried.

Hi,
I am trying to get the FieldInfo for my TabControl.
In particular I am interested in EVENT_SELECTEDINDEXCHANGED.
I have method to which I am passing my TabControl object, and it's
a "target" variable.
targetType = target.GetType();
FieldInfo[] fields = targetType.GetFields(BindingFlags.Static | BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.NonPublic);
Now I am trying to see if any of the fields in the fieldinfo array contains EVENT_SELECTEDINDEXCHANGED.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

SelectedIndexChanged is an event, not a field. So if you're trying to get info about it using reflection, use GetEvents -method (or if you already know the event, GetEvent)instead of GetFields .
The need to optimize rises from a bad design.

I'm new to C#, and I'm making a Dictionary that is supposed to be able to pronounce coptic language, I have done most of the work, but when I started making it pronounce coptic I found it really difficult. My idea was to take the coptic text and convert it into something like IPA then pass it to speak() method.
It doesn't work.
Would anybody tell me where to start?

Well, follow the forum guidelines if you do not want to be flamed for cross posting

Yea and you never made a mistake before...honestly, you have nothing better to do than take your frustrations/anger out on someone seeking help.
Try communicating things a little differently. Hope this experience made your day.

It's not a question of taking out anger or frustration. It is just being nice and pointing out you should not cross post. There was not anything wrong with your asking for help, more like clarification about the Response.Redirect method, but the approach by posting in multiple forums wasn't the way to go.

Please don't cross post - it's not good form, and before you have a go at me about pulling you up about this, you might want to know that I wrote the forum guidelines so I do know a thing or two about the etiquette here. Pick the appropriate forum for a question, and stick with it - don't scatter bomb forums.

The point was made, but was it taken to heart? If so, then job done and we can all put this behind us.

After a user successfully inserts a new record in the "DetailView" control, I want to redirect them to a new page. Is the best method of doing this as follows:
protected void DetailsView1_ItemInserted(object sender, DetailsViewInsertedEventArgs e)
{
Response.Redirect("Part2.aspx");
}

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to use an enum. But I don't use this a lot and I'm now at a point where I don't understand it anymore.
I have this code:
enum frequency
{
Second,
Minute,
Hour,
Day,
Month,
Year
}
public constructor()
{
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Second);
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Minute);
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Hour);
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Day);
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Month);
comBoxFrequency.Items.Add(frequency.Year);
}
public void buttonClick()
{
switch (comBoxFrequency.SelectedText)
{
case frequency.Second:
break;
case frequency.Minute.ToString():
break;
case frequency.Hour:
break;
case frequency.Day:
break;
case frequency.Month:
break;
case frequency.Year:
break;
}
}
As you see I get two errors: Cannot implicitly convert type '___.frequency' to 'string'
And if I make a string of this: A constant value is expected
Does anyone know how to work around this problem (or what I do wrong)?

Hi all,
I hope you can help me with the following problem:
I have a third party COM Object written in c++.
I have a VS 2003 C# Project (1.1) that accesses this object (via "Add Refernence To Com Object...")
Everything works fine!!!!
Now I want to access the COM Object from a C# VS2008 Project (3.5).
In the VS2008 project I get an Exception saying that it is not possible to cast the Object
to the desired type. The functions only return __ComObject.
I tried Marshal.CreateWrapperOfType(), but no success.
Do you have any idea what I can do??
Thanks in advance
Jens
