That's no over-sized inflatable beach ball, that's your new wife.

I'll tell her that. And then you'll be in trouble. (Which will be a pleasant change from me being constantly in trouble )

Hi,
I'm a longtime member and today I was vieweing an article about Sharepoint. I logged in to download code and later accidentally went back to the login page. It didn't like that and whenever I try to navigate to an aricle I see this message:
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. Ticket: 183425
It will do this fr every article but the Ticket is different.
HELP!!

Just about to report this same issue - navigating to an article from a link on the search results page gives
"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. Ticket: 206135"
Ticket number varies...

How many developers are using the CLR integration with SQL Server. You can word it better but I am curious.
The expression I was looking for:

Would it be possible to add a custom sorting feature to these pages. I am interested in sorting my bookmarks by whether they were publicly recommended or not.
Other sorting criteria that may be useful:
Watched/UnWatched
Alphabetical
Categorical (Already done with current system)
Alphabetical by Author

- Can the preview window please be shown right in the middle of the screen (I see it has moved to the center horizontally, but it has to move vertically down and to the center of the screen). That would be nice.
- I cannot do an in-place edit in the preview window, so it would be nice if I can close it by clicking anywhere inside it.

(1) would be nice, (2) would be incredibly annoying if you're trying to resize it and miss.

How about limiting the number of threads a user can start in one day, if that user was named 'Ilíon'? I mean c'mon, 13 threads started in 24 hours? And all of them are crap, as are grayed by the other members...
Or this might be based on ranking. Ie:
bronze - 3 threads allowed per day
silver - 5
gold - 10
platinum - unlimited
Thanks.

I suggest that you just leave him aside. He's just craving attention by starting inane threads. I also think that he has a severely unstable mind - if nobody replies to him, he adds replies to his own threads (the replies make no sense too).
The best way would be to just ignore him (or may be report his crappy messages and have it removed) and he will have no option but to go away after a while. I can understand your feeling, but trust me, ignoring him is actually the best way.

At least it is the SB - he does not pollute any of the other forums so I would agree with Rajesh, ignore him. You may notice that he is getting less and less responses especially if CG gets bored.

FYI we've got an idiot trying to embed crap in the hardware board. So far nothing he's tried has worked but the cluestick needs applied.

The homepage has the link http://www.codeproject.com/script/Content/SiteMap.aspx for "Your place for 20,953 free Visual Studio and .NET articles, code snippets, discussions, news and the best bunch of developers on the net." Although it works, the top of that page says page not found.

I'm trying to post my first article, but when I get to the "upload files" step, every file I try to upload gives me this error, and I can't continue to upload the article:
"Only the following file types are allowed: JPG, GIF, PNG, ZIP, TXT, PDF, XML"
I'm only trying to upload zip files and png files - is the uploader case sensitive on the extensions or something?!
I'd really appreciate any help that anyone could offer!

Sorry about that - try now.

In the last few minute, it would appear that a new "autoscroll" behavior (opening a post also causes it to be scrolled to the top has been enabled along with a rather unattractive yellow banner advisory on how to get better performance).
This new behavior, in addition to being quite annoying, completely breaks if CPHOG is enabled (the post neither moves nor opens).

A previously used profile name cannot be reused; even if it is not being used by anyone else; and I think the reason for that is: because message-post author-names never change(in a broader sense), and the reason for not changing post author-names is probably: security, clarity, avoiding confusion etc.
But why can't one reuse a profile name previously held by him/her? (That shouldn’t cause any problems)
