Sorry to say that isn't the answer to your original question. All you did was reiterate, with a very specific line of code, what's we've been telling you all along. ANd that is that you can only do what you want when rendering the string.

Well, I'm glad I bothered to come back and check on a couple of the older forum messages. You are personal ban list of users to help anymore.

You still don't comprehend what string.format does and is in no way shape or fashion related to Graphics.DrawString.
Also, using a method such as drawstring to render the graphics was suggested to you in the very first response by Dave; but you didn't bother to put 2 minutes of research into it, else you wouldn't be wasting time trying to write insults to those who tried to help you.
Cheers.
Any suggestions, ideas, or 'constructive criticism' are always welcome.

I am NOT a software suport man, I am a developer with over 25 years experience who tried to explain to you where you were going wrong. I am well aware that using Graphics.Drawstring will do it, but you were asking how to do it with string.format.

Several hundred actually.
If you are gong to be rude and abusive when people have given their own time to try and help you, don't bother posting any more of your stupid questions (and you ignore the answers), get yourself a subscription to Google and book yourself on some beginners vb courses.

Does anyone have a good tutorial for using visual basic to capture packets, I'm a beginner! Please help, in dire need

Google for "WinPCap". If you're a beginner in VB.NET, or programming in general, this is going to be a tough project to write.
If your need "is dire" and you need this functionality now, then consider getting an off-the-shelf package that does packet capture and analysis for you.

You can either consider making custom controls and make everything owner drawn, or you could look at WPF[^].

It sounds like what you are looking for is WPF. The Windows Presentation Foundation allows you to design extraordinary (with patience) GUIs. If you want to use flash media, then you might want to consider converting it to XAML (WPF Language) so that it can be used in the WPF application.

I would start with a database, then design a few tables. Follow up with either a windows app or better still and intranet app to allow the phone snumbers to be displayed. I would add an admin section for updfating and enable searching by last name, first name and number.

Sounds like a plan to me. Don't forget to add an easter egg with a function called "ET_Phone_Home".
Any suggestions, ideas, or 'constructive criticism' are always welcome.

Eduard already answered for resize image.
so for save an image in SQL server, first convert the image into byte array and then store in database field which is image type. Follow following steps
1. first of all i assume PictureBox1 hold the picture data. So use following statement
Dim PictureBox1Data As Byte()<br />
If PictureBox1.Image Is Nothing Then<br />
PictureBox1Data = Nothing<br />
Else<br />
PictureBox1Data = imageToByteArray(PictureBox1.Image)'See below this function<br />
End If
2.Now write the SQL query as following
Dim QueryText As String<br />
Dim QueryValue As String<br />
Dim command As System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand = New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand()<br />
QueryText = "INSERT INTO Settings(PrintCompany,IsUploadLogo,LogoGraphic )"<br />
QueryValue = "Values(@PrintCompany, @IsUploadLogo,@LogoGraphic)"<br />
command.CommandText = QueryText & QueryValue
3. Supply Value to parameter which is in above query, as following
command.Parameters.Add("@PrintCompany", SqlDbType.TinyInt, 10).Value = True<br />
command.Parameters.Add("@IsUploadLogo", SqlDbType.TinyInt, 10).Value =True<br />
If Not PictureBox1Data Is Nothing Then<br />
command.Parameters.Add("@LogoGraphic", SqlDbType.Image, PictureBox1Data.Length).Value = PictureBox1Data<br />
Else<br />
command.Parameters.Add("@LogoGraphic", SqlDbType.Image, 0).Value = System.DBNull.Value<br />
End If
4. Execute query as following
command.ExecuteNonQuery()
step 1 to 4 read data of picture box,convert them byte array and store in related table.Step 1 use following function to convert an image into byte array
Public Function imageToByteArray(ByVal ImageIn As System.Drawing.Image) As Byte()<br />
Dim ms As MemoryStream = New MemoryStream()<br />
Dim FormatImage1 As Imaging.ImageFormat = ImageIn.RawFormat<br />
ImageIn.Save(ms, FormatImage1)<br />
'ImageIn.Save(ms, Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp)<br />
Return ms.ToArray()<br />
End Function
hope this helps

That's the code I needed to save the image to the database! I have tried it, and it doesn't resize the image. I will try to code this myself.
