hi
i find a way to do it.
1. DNS must be configured.
like *.example.com IN A 10.10.10.10(the site's IP)
2.IIS must be configured such every request to example.com by every subdomain go through ASP ISAPI
3.A HttpModule must be created to handle those request and convert it to actual address.
LIKE subdomain.example.com ----> www.example.com/query?id=subdoamin.
thanks.
bye.

balu is a nine years old boy.he is a very good boy,
now how i want the word good to be hilighted in the text box how it is possible .

If you are using asp.net text box, it is impossible. Try some HTML editor like FCK editor
|
|
|
|
|
quite difficult seems to be impossible
take a label instead of textbox ..
use span to change the color or bold it
If You win You need not Explain............
But If You Loose You Should not be there to Explain......

I'm trying to figure out how to drop/discard a request (in the BeginRequest event handler in an HttpModule), any idea how I can do this? Calling Response.End() sends the output to the user which is not what I want. Response.Close() closes the socket but as far I know (and correct me if I'm wrong) it also sends a packet to the client to notify them that the connection was closed. I'm trying to implement a black list of IPs in my app, I just want to drop/ignore/discard the request as if it was never received by the application.

hi
i think that you can use an ISAPI if you want to prevent some request to your web application.

Wow, ISAPI filter to do such simple task! Isn't there a simpler way? I'm going to use IIS7 for my app, can this make it easier to do without having to use an ISAPI filter?

hi
I don't work with IIS7 and don't know how to work but i know that IIS7 has some features
that IIS 5,6 does not. Sorry

I hear a lot of people talking about using CMS products lately.
What are the leading CMS products and free CMS products?
How common have CMS products become in enterprises of different sizes and how are CMS products replacing or supplementing other systems?

Hi all,
i have created a web application with three classes in it App_Code folder.When i run the pjt in local system everything was working.but after hosting the site it give erroe "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." where it encounter a line having a call to the functions in the class
Suppose A is my class in App_Code
I have declared the objt of it in a .aspx page as
A objA=new A();
objA.Function();
What is wrong with this.I got a solution saying thatfor that "U have to include namespace of APP_code Class File into ur webpage .cs file".How can i do it?
Thanks in advance.

Are you using any name space in Class files ?
Are you getting exception while creating a new object i.e
A objA=new A();
OR on Method call
objA.Function();
?

i am getting error when a line with a call to the member function encounters
ie, your second option

Hi,
If your Class file in App_code contains namespace you have to import it in your .cs file. If your code behind is vb then use "import" or c# means use "using" to import your namespace.

i am using Visual Studio 2005 with C#.
i want to know if it is possible that the value of a Session in a textbox can be extended on more than one page.
ex.
Session["x"]=Textbox1.Text;
this session "x",i want to use in many pages.
pl help

Yes, You can it same way. At once you set the value in session you can access it any page, if session is not expired.
Get session value:
if( Session["x"] != null )
String txtValue=Convert.ToString(Session["x"]);

It's trying to do something that the user account that the code is running under doesn't have permission to do.
reogeo2008 wrote: Can abybody give a solution..
Here are some possible solutions:
1. Don't do it.
2. Change the permissions for the user account.
3. Use a different user account for the application.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

hi,
I have a flash object on the root directory of my website. I use it to do multiple uploads on one of my site pages. The site is protected with forms authentication but I just found out that if a user (not logged) enters the complete path of the flash object i.e. http://someserver/myflashobject.swf, he will be able to see the object and use it! in my case it's not a big deal since the page that usually displays the object also sets some javascript event handlers and uses some session parameters, which won't be available here, so no file will actually be uploaded but I was quite astonished that the user wasn't requested to login to access the flash object.
does anybody know why the flash is accessible directly without reverting to the login page?
is there a special configuration for the web site in web.config to stop people accessing the flash object directly?
Thanks

You would get the same issue with a JPG or GIF image, or Word doc or whatever... if you want to protect such files you must tell the webserver to handle requests for them, and build your own HttpHandler to deal with them.
Try Googling something along the lines of "httphandler protect files"... however, you will need access to the webserver as well (or at least get the server admin people to configure IIS as needed.) The webserver needs to be told which types of files to let .NET deal with and which to just farm out when requeted - by default it will deal with .aspx pages and the like, but not .swf etc...

i've copy/paste -ed some text from ms Word to Visual web developer and it automaticaly added tags&co for me , but when i build it a get an enormous number of errors , from the lines that were added , like :
Warning 6 Unrecognized namespace 'o'.
Error 7 Validation (CSS 2.0): 'Courier' is not a known CSS property name.
Error 416 Unexpected character sequence. Expected a property name for the "<property> : <value>" declaration.
Error 857 Validation (CSS 2.0): 'mso-no-proof' is not a known CSS property name.
am i missing any reference for anything ?

You cannot/should not copy/paste directly from Word to an HTML page - Word has it's own way of formatting that is different from HTML and CSS - as you can see, from your own example, 'mso-no-proof' is not a known CSS property name...
Just copy plain text, and format that within VWD.
You could "Save as HTML" from Word and use that but personally I wouldn't recommend it - look at the source code that Word generates thus - ugh! Bloatware par excellance!
