I noticed my GDI+ graphics intensive application draws/refreshes faster on my old Pentium 4 3Ghz 512 MB RAM, Intel Extreme Graphics card than it does on my new Core 2 Duo 3Ghz 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon 256MB Graphics Card.
I have the (VC++ 2003) optimization settings set for Pentium 4 or greater.
Are the newer Core 2 processors from a Pentium 3 or Pentium 4 core? (I've never been really sure how set the optimization settings for Pentium M class and Core 2 class machines)
Also, where are the target processor settings in Visual C++ 2008?

I don't know, if it's about graphics I'd look at the video card as well.

Hi All,
Please tell how to read data from a csv file in C++ MFC dialog based application and display in excel format.
Thank You,

You can use Excel's type library to open the .csv file, or any other file, and it will be displayed automatically. Adding data to other cells is also possible.
You can also open the file via Excel's ODBC data source.

The task was to send the test messages from PC to the mobile through a serial port by simulating the modem using AT commands. I knew about the AT commands.
for example :
AT+CPMS Preferred message storage
AT+CMGF Message format (we use format 0: PDU)
AT+CSCA Service center address
AT+CNMI New message indications to TE
AT+CMGL List messages
AT+CMGR Read message
AT+CMGS Send message
AT+CMGD Delete message
However i never worked on them. I would request you to send me some example program regarding this and also let me know how to approach such kind of programs.
Thanks& Regards,
Tangirala

Do you know CodeProject has a article search engine [^]?

Programming, I suppose.

Like other software projects, you know, unit testing,...

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any algorithm to implement Proxy Server? or What steps to be followed for it?
As we have to follow some steps for Server-Client Socket Programming (like Bind, Listen, Accept, ...)
CPallini wrote: Aniket Salunkhe wrote:

Where to install it? on Server or on Client? & How to check is it working properly or not?

Your questions are too broad and vague (for instance, what kind of Proxy Server are you talking about? Maybe a Web one, but you didn't specify. Moreover if you're going to build such a rather complex project then you should have already some idea about the algorythm) hence the the silly answers.

Hi,
I would like to learn about services and searched for the articles. But none of them were useful to me. Some of the articles are in fact nice, but not for a beginner like me . I would like to know about 1) what services are 2) where they can be used 3) how to use ATL Com AppWizard to create the service using Service(Exe) server type 4) A simple example (almost all the ones I have gone through today are looking like small projects, making the things more complicated for me to understand)
Could anyone post some nice article regarding this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
i use this control in dialog based application and i want to assign a CString value to them!
I mean, show html content without calling .Navigate(...);
CString csHtmlContent = L"<html><body>some very large text</body></html>";
CWebBrowserCtrl2 cWeb;
Is that possible, any suggestion for this problem?
It can be any other control who can show html content!
Thanks for any help!

You can write the HTML text into a temporary file and open that file in your web control using Navigate method by prefixing file:// in its URL.

Some thing like this,
CComPtr<IDispatch> pDispDoc;
CComVariant spVar(_T("about:blank"));
m_Explorer.Navigate2(&spVar, 0, 0, 0, 0);
<br>
pDispDoc = m_Explorer.get_Document();
CComQIPtr<IHTMLDocument2> spDoc(pDispDoc);
VARIANT *param;
<big>CComBSTR spbStrHtmlText(OLESTR("<html><body>some very large text</body></html>"));</big> SAFEARRAY * psfArray = SafeArrayCreateVector(VT_VARIANT, 0, 1);
SafeArrayAccessData(psfArray,(LPVOID*) & param);
param->vt = VT_BSTR;
param->bstrVal = spbStrHtmlText;
SafeArrayUnaccessData(psfArray);
<big>spDoc->write(psfArray);</big>
SafeArrayDestroy(psfArray);</br>
See also [IHTMLElement::innerHTML ^]
And have a look at IHTMLDom objects to have more controls over internal html nodes.
