You can write a HTTP handler that adds your watermark to all images requested from the DB. Then you're asking a simple GDI+ question, how to draw an image transparently over another. The ImageAttributes class is what you need, google that for lots of examples. You can use a color range to draw transparently, on your logo.

Hi everyone,
I have a page which contains 2 hyperlinks . I also use master page.
asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLinkGender" runat="server" NavigateUrl="~/AGenderwiseSearch.aspx?id=1">Genderwise Search</asp:HyperLink>
asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLinkEducation" runat="server" NavigateUrl="~/AGenderwiseSearch.aspx?id=2">Educationwise Search</asp:HyperLink></td>
When i click any one hyperlink ,transferes to page AGenderwiseSearch.aspx which contains 2 dropddown ie.ddGender,ddEducation
Now when i transfer to AGenderwiseSearch.aspx then depending on id i have to visible or invisible controls.
If(id == 1) { ddGender.visible = true; ddEducation.Visible = false}
If(id == 2) { ddGender.visible = false; ddEducation.Visible = true}
I have to do this all stuff from clienside.
Thanks in advance.

Well, that makes no sense at all. You're navigating to a new page, so you're talking to the server to get the page. Therefore, why would you have to set visibility on the client side ? Use Request.QueryString in your prerender, to work out which items to make visible. If you need them to be swapped out in js later, and thus don't want to set Visible to false on the server ( which stops them rendering ) add styles to hide the right ones.

Hi,
Can you please provide me some so procedure which is helpful for me?

I really don't know what else to say, apart from, buy a book. It seems to me that you know nothing about ASP.NET at all, and I don't know what I could hope to say, that you could understand. What I said was self evident and the full extent of the advice you need. you have no need to do this on the client side, because you're already requesting a page from the server. For you to even ask that, again makes me wonder if you know anything about how ASP.NET works, at all.

What is the js error ? It's odd for there to be a js error in auto generated code.
I don't understand what you're doing, the two grid are on the same page, you want the link button for one to change the other ? That should be trivial.

It seems you do need help. Your subject line is useless, and your question is easily answered with google. ASP.NET has nothing to do with it, you just put the HTML in your page, i.e. in your ASPX.

If you were to do that, why would you ask in the ASP.NET forum ?

Why did you think we have an ASP.NET forum ? You found the VB forum, right ?
In answer to your question, if you put a web browser control in your form, and feed it the HTML, it can show a flash movie.

I never use that stuff inside the IDE, I use the SQL Server ones. What does this have to do with ASP.NET ?

The reason may be the different. I never faced this type of problem with VS 2008.

How to bind that collection to the select control, that DTO class has ID(bind to the value) and Name(bind to text).
Please suggest me or give me some like to learn how to do this.

Any IEnumerable is a valid data source. Are you using AJAX, or just using the MS AJAX library ? What issue do you have that's specific to AJAX ? If you're writing AJAX, you need to send your data as XML

Hi people,
I am having a weid problem here. I have a web page A that calls another web page B to do some computations. Page B then calls a web service method to perform some computations. The web service method itself calls a method in the Business Logic Layer DLL. When I do a step into, I manage to jump correctly from the web page A to B to the web service to the business logic DLL. The method that does the computations is called and then instead of having the step jump to the next line, it jumps directly to a line in a method located in web page A!!!
I have tried the debug process several times and it's still the same result...I land at the same line of code in page A each time.
This problem does not happen when using the site with IE7, it only happens with Firefox.
I have rebuilt the different projects (web, service, DLLs) server time and even deleted the temporary files in windows\microsoft.net but still I get the same thing.
I don't know what to do now as I have no idea what is going on!
One last note. The computation method that I call in the business logic is located in a DLL that includes some unmanaged C++ code. I am wondering if this could be a reason for the problem, even though a while back, everything worked perfectly
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello,
I have an asp.net35 vb page which gets a list of users from the database, displays them in a gridview and also has a couple of input boxes and a submit button so that I can use it to send a group email.
Each process works separately. I can see my gridview list and the email form works if I dont call in the gridview rows.
I have hit a problem that I hope you can help me with. The error says:
ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection
This is my line of code:
email = GridView1.DataKeys(gvRow.RowIndex).Value
Can anyone help me to solve this please.

I think there could be a clue in the error message. It suggests that the rowindex is outside the key collection. Maybe looping zero to gvrow.rows.count rather than count -1 (as you start at zero)?

Hello Bob,
I found that I could get at the index using this code on page load. It outputs numbers starting at 1. Your snippet cant be used in the context of datakeys so Im still stuck.
For Each gvRow In GridView1.Rows
'display the row index number for testing.
Labeltestrows.Text &= gvRow.Cells(0).Text "
