Database structure is ready for the forum. actually I have develop one discussion forum by using repeater contol in asp.net, but it’s not fulfill. that’s reason behind all this things.

Most of the cool stuff in this forum is done with javascript and was here when the site was asp. There's no ASP.NET controls you 'need', I'd still use a repeater, it gives you more control.

You can do one thing,
Read the value of datagrid row at serverside then register a javascript function which takes the value as a parameter.

You can map your own extensions to IIS and let ASP.NET process all those requests. In IIS6, you can't remove the extensions. If you are using IIS7, extension-less URL-rewriting is possible.

Hi,
Iam trying to open a pdf using acrobat 9 sdk in a asp.net website.ie iam working in a webproject ,in which i need to open a pdf document,and if i a click on a particular postion in the document , i need to get the block coordinates of the particular postion(x,y,width,height).
so i came across this acrobat9 sdk ,but i dont have a clue how to work with this,kindly advice how to proceed,or is there any other way to view and annotate a pdf in my asp.net project.

You are using a wrong tool for this job. ASP.NET can't do this. PDF file is opened in the default PDF reader installed on the client machine. You can't always tell that PDF files will be opened only with acrobat reader.

oh! what i want is the person who open the site to view pdf online in the site. and he can click at particular word or postion to annotate.
so i need a viewer to display the pdf in my site and a possible way to calculate the postion of the click made.

I reiterate. There is no way to do this using ASP.NET. ASP.NET runs on server and user clicks on the PDF file from the client system. How are you expecting ASP.NET can handle this?

Currently i ask users to sign in each time (i removed the "Remember me" option from the login control)
I initialize some session variables when the user autenthicates
I was wondering what event is the right place to initialize the session if i use the "Remember me" option??

Didn't you ask this the other day ? I would assume that you'd have a mechanism in a base page that redirects to the login page if the user is not logged in. If they are logged in, then that seems a good place to check if they are initialised, and if not, to initialise them. Surely the login control also fires an event when the user is logged in ?

It's always better to initialize the session variables when user get authenticated and at the time of logout it should be abondoned.
