Hi Matjaz,
The following line of code will insert a double quote in your string value.
string xc = "Deklica je po \" Vodo šla.";
Hope this helps...
|
|
|
|

won't work. i get output: Deklica je po \" Vodo šla.
don't know why backslash in text.

When you say output, you mean the watch window of the debugger..? The watch window of the debugger always shows the backslash before the double quote as an escape character but it will not display in your actual results. Try this by setting a label or textbox's text to the string value. You will see that there isnt a backslash in the text.
Hope this helps...

Yes, that helps a lot
I was debugging and i was always getting the backslash and just a minute before your answer, i tried the same sentence with a label - and it worked, like you said.
Thanks!

Matjaž

Hi..
I need to draw a dotted Sine wave using GDI+ concept in Visual C#, please let me know which GDI+ Object i need to use..
replay asap

you need to get a Graphics object.
You can either respond to the paint event on the form and use e.Graphics, or you can create your own graphics object by calling CreateGrapics() on the control you want to draw onto.

Then use a 'dotted' Pen. I dont know the exact property to set, but Pen (or Brush) have those options.

i already checked the properties of Pen and Brush, dotted pen is not there..

You dont try very hard, do you?
What do you think the DashStyle property do?

no nothing like that, i didnt know where that option is...
Pen p = new pen(Color.Black).DashStyle
is still giving an error.

The problem lies with your knowledge of C#. These things are normally discussed in the first few chapters of any C# book.
You need to do:
Pen p = new Pen(Color.Back);
p.DashStyle = DashStyle.Dot;
xacc.ide - now with TabsToSpaces support IronScheme - 1.0 beta 1 - out now! ((lambda (x) `((lambda (x) ,x) ',x)) '`((lambda (x) ,x) ',x))

thanks leppie.
I have forgotten that, I'm New to C#. Sorry..
I ll try to Learn things as early as possible..
thanks

You will need to talk to the manufacturers of the phone and ask them if they provide an SDK (software development kit). If they do, the SDK will be a collection of dlls that expose the various features of the phone to the PC as an API, you will be able to reference these and call whatever you want. If you're really lucky, the manufacturer may even directly have .net API which will save you some messy .net/c++ interop.
(If you have an SDK, the best place to ask will be the manufacturers forums)

Hi Everyone,
I have created an windows application in c#.net. Now what I want is that when I run the application, it should not be visible in Task Manager. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi astrovirgin,
I would say that this is not possible. Your application will run as a process on your system, so you will see the process in the task manager.
By the way, you are not developing some evil software, are you???

That is first thing that comes to mind when someone asks this type of question. What is it they are developing that they want to hide so bad?

Why would you want to do that? The user should always retain control of their PC.

Its not possible. Any application running will show as a process in task manager. And I agree with Simon, the user should always be in control of his/her pc. Would you not want to be able to kill something when it lets your pc freak out..?

If it is just removing from the application tab of task manager then set ShowInTasbar property to false for the application.(Yes it removes the application from both task bar and task manager).
If you wish to hide the process as well, then I think you should look into the NtQuerySystemInformation Function. MSDN will surely help you find something useful.
Just make sure you handle your code very carefully.

No it won't. There are plenty applications that can be seen in the Task Manager that have no visibility in the Taskbar.

I just tried it and it worked for me(just from the application tab not from the processes). I am not sure about the cases where it wont work. Probably in ones where "Minimize to tray" feature is provided.
