hi i got web service who send me an xml Data in a web application, i want to merge the sent data in word model to generate a report
printed in client Side is there any tutorial to show how to proceed to do this, or what kind of documentation i must use.

If you want your client to print a word doc, you'll need to send it to them. Really, none of this question is to do with ASP.NET. You can control Word in C# tho using the Microsoft Tools for Office, and insert your data, creating a new document you'll need your user to open.

hi
i developed a site and it is hosted in one server name "S1".
Database for this site and third party software "xyz" is maintained in another server name "S2".
now i want to add refernce of the third party software in a webpage and its object should be created at server "S2".
any time the user requests the page, the refernce should come thru server "s2" but not from the hosting server
plz help me

Sounds like you need to write a webservice for S1 to consume and S2 to host.

Hi,
Do any one know how to select multiple files at a time using Ctrl+select and upload the attachments in C# .Net 1.0?
I know that by placing 4 or 5 attachment controls we can do that.But I want to select multiple at a time.
Do any one know this???

It's not possible in ASP.NET. ASP.NET can only upload controls according to what the HTML upload control allows. One control, one file.

Hi,
I wanted to display News in my Intranet website. I dont have any idea about that. Please guide me accordingly.
I wanted to use web services in my site. But, how do i know that what are the web methods available over internet? I know how to create a webservice and use it. I am asking about the webservices which are in internet, and how to use them.

Sounds like you need to google for a webservice that does what you want. I find it doubtful that anyone would offer news for you to use as you want tho, not for free, or at least, not without credit

if you know how to read xml file then you can use RSS feeds to fullfil your requirement...
every news site have their RSS feed a button when u click on that it shows you the xml file for news...and many more..
you can also go for it...
and you can also see example in this forum at right side a rss button...
it is publically useable information....so you can use it...

I have my own custom web textbox control which accept only arabic. I have done this work through javascript but the problem is that when I use this textbox in my project and inserting data in sql server 2000. It insert question marks instead of arabic text. The field is nvarchar and i have save it as unicode. Please need urgent help

Christian Graus this is not sql question because I have another Project in which I have textbox and when I am inserting value from simple textbox in the same table the data inserted perfactly. Please any help....

I clearly can't answer a such wide question, but at least I will give you hints.
Have you checked your web page encoding? Is it UTF-8?
Maybe you are losing the arabic text on the post back? Have you did a step-by-step debug in code?
Do you use a stored procedure or plain sql code inside your .net code?
Are you using any Globalization inside your .net code?

If they don't have Adobe, there are some libraries you can buy to side step their requirement. The one I found, cost about $8000.

That is stupid.
1 - ASP.NET can't print files to clients printer
2 - ASP.NET can't burn a CD
3 - ASP.NET can't access client machine's file system
That being said, ASP.NET runs on a server, process the server tags found on the request and returns HTML to the browser. To open a PDF file, users need a PDF reader, acrobat reader or some other. ASP.NET can't control this.
