Okay, but have fun anyway!
I think I'll hit the bed. It's almost midnight here so very soon I'm going to babble nonsense and can't remember it correctly after few minutes (I really like those quotes)

I know what you mean.
Mika Wendelius wrote: I really like those quotes
Yep. Go to my profile page, and there are plenty of others I've collected over the years. Karl has an old one that was really funny about weddings and funerals (here it is[^].)

If I'm not wrong, I missed your birthday by few days (actually a few in the last years , sorry). However, if that's right happy birthday (a bit late) !

Hi Mika,
I have posted a problem just now.
Can you just take a look over it.
Thanx.

Mika
Did you get am email from me concerning the collaboration idea you proposed. I just realised I have sent 3 emails via CP and not got a reply from any of them. I have a suspicion that the email option may not be working.

No I didn't. Few days ago I also tried to send a message to myself using CP with no luck. Would you like to post it on Site Bugs?
Anyway, do you have an idea how we could trade email addresses. I'm not very keen on the idea that either of us put it for viewing on this (or any other) site. I did that mistake once and oh boy the amount messages what pills I should instantly start using, what great business opportunities I'm missing etc...

I heep a hotmail.com eamil for this exact reason. Send it to critsoft@ -with- hotmail.com. I can't access it from work but will pick it up tonight and reply with a more appropriate address.

You came back here after 2 years. I have checked your profile after seen your answers in Q/A section (You name looks like a new one to me, I never seen you here before in CP).
Cheers.

Well, guess that there are so many things in life and so little time...
Good to see that the site has really grown during the time. Definitely one of the best places to hang around.

Welcome back!
No question in database forum will remain unanswered now. Just like good old days.

Thanks d@nish
It's good to see so many familiar 'faces'.
Just checked your profile: Congratulations for MVP 2010! Definitely given to the right guy.
I'm not able to use so much time to CP as before but let's see what we can do all together...
Glad I noted your message. For some reason I don't get any emails for new messages to my posts and I'm unable to verify my email. Created a post in Site Bugs / Suggestions and hopefully the solution is found...

That was a bug in CP system. I had reported that in Site bugs forum.
I still remember the way you had helped through my first ever decent stored procedure. Here is a link[^] to it. Thanks a lot once again.

I agree. Should've been DAMVPABTWARNG... Oh, you don't know? Definitely A Most Valuable Professional And By The Way A Really Nice Guy

It was my pleasure. I do believe that the positive attitude this site has (and always has had) is making it far better than anything else. Surely technical information can be shared everywhere but it's a bit different situation when you feel welcome...
Again, nice to 'see' you all!

I thought I should take this out of the Lounge.
Getting the MVP was great but I don't have the time to sustain the effort. Chris has also change the format and the focus seems to be on the Q&A forums which I dislike.
We moved into Silvelight, you remember the database idea you floated, I built a code generator (always have had one) in SL but it won't work outside the firewall so I went back to winforms.

Yeah, good idea.
I know what you mean. Trying to maintain the status takes really a lots and lots of spare time...
I noticed that there are now kind of two separate forum mechanisms. Since I've used them for only few days I don't have a good opinion yet, but it feels like the messages are not so easy to find any more...
Ok, most likely the architecture in the db idea should be three-tiered in order to work correctly through firewall. Maybe I'll have a look at the idea again in the future but to be honest I'm afraid that I won't be having so much extra time since the project would be quite big. Perhaps when I'm retired
