hello i am using ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender in my site to display some detail its working very well on my local pc(localhost) but when i uploaded the site on server...its throwing javascript error ajaxControlToolkit is undefined and modelpopupextender is not getting displayed..i am trying to solve it from yesterday but the problem is still same.
I copied all the dll in bin folder and also included
<![CDATA[<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="ajaxToolkit" %>]]> on top of page....and
<atlas:scriptmanager id="scriptmanager" runat="server" scriptmode="Release" scriptpath="./Script" enablepartialrendering="true" xmlns:atlas="#unknown">
<scripts>
<atlas:scriptreference assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" name="AjaxControlToolkit.Common.Common.js" />
<atlas:scriptreference name="AjaxControlToolkit.ModalPopup.ModalPopupBehavior.js" assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" />

OK, so perhaps it needs to be in the GAC or something ? Have you tried just installing the MSI instead of copying the dlls ?

but how can i install MSI on server as i told you its working properly on localhost but throwing this error on server...so please give an alternate solution....

Yes, so I assume that you installed the library on your local host, but you seem to say you only copied the files onto the server.

Probably because you're using a nested framework of libraries designed to help lazy people by generating all their javascript for them, so when something goes wrong, it's because you've used something in the wrong way, and it's a long way from obvious what it is that you've done wrong.
Most likely cause is an operator = is not defined, and so an object cannot be copied. But that's my C++ thinking, I have no idea why js would throw that error.

hai,
currently i m using asp.net with c# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework)
i have applied a stylesheet properties to all pages.
when user click the save button, i display a confirmation message box. but when that message box prompts and i click ok, the page font size, textbox size, menu size (menu control) and all the controls size getting big & Bold..
how to avoid this

Just guessing, have you enabled smart navigation in your page.

It's plainly a bug in your css. So, you need to post your css if you can't work it out. I'd just cut the CSS file in half over and over until it stop happening and narrow down on what causes it that way.

Hii..whenever i try to export the datagrid on my asp.net page to excel,
the excel sheet opens but with no data in it !
why is this so? am using visual studio 2005 and MS Office XP.
am terribly confused..can someone pls help me with this?..thanks in advance..

You'd generally do this with a link to a page that has an id or something in the querystring so it can load specific data. In this case, I assume you're creating a floating div, so you'd call javascript that does something similar.

Sounds like you should have asked earlier then. The only way to do anything asyncronously with ASP.NET is with AJAX. Otherwise, it's a postback and get static page situation. What's MQ ?
