What do you want to do ? Take data and save it locally as an excel file ?

actually i want to run AutoCad software using the webservice,
bcoz due to few reasons my website hosting server doesnt support the installation of the AutoCad software.
so i installed the software in another server .
and i created a webservice using the IP address of this server.
and i wrriten a method which opens the Autocad Application
but it is not opening
bcoz the webmethod is returns a xml file
|
|
|
|
|
Why did you say Excel then ?
Webservices return XML, what did you expect ? It sounds to me like you're very, very confused. The only place a webservice can start Autocad, is on the server, because only the server is always listening and ready to receive requests.

You can obviously execute the application but it will be on server as Christian mentioned.

Because SQL Server makes itself visible to a network, so you can create a network connection string.
I suggest you start with a basic book about computers, you plainly have no idea at all.

I tried to get the Id of a dropdown list in a gridview in my application. But I tried to get using this code...
Inside a protected void Function
DropDownList ddlFilter = (DropDownList)gvCRMODField.FindControl("ddlFilterCriteria");
But it is showing the value Null on runtime. How can i know the ID of this dropdown using FindControl in the function
Any help would be thankful..

It may be for first grid row (Header). I mean to say in case of first row but did you try for second row.

U need to loop through all rows of the Grid
In the loop
assign the current row to the GridViewRow object then u can use find control .....

Error Clearly say's that The mailbox does not exist. Does that mailbox (mailid) exist?

Does your SMPT Server configure properly ?

I assume you're attempting to relay through your own GMail account here......that'll never work...Gmail / Hotmail / Yahoo and most of the free ones don't permit relaying (to stop spammers)...
You'll need to change the SMTP details (SMTPServer etc) to one that permits relaying.
C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.
