I am using a third party program, which has a UI. Basically for logging off and logging in, to my broadband internet connection. All i need to do is wite a program or may be windows service which would Automatically run this application, bring the UI (till here its easy), and then click on Log In Button which is on the Application s UI. And all this has to be done while am asleep , i mean it has to happen automatically using the service. Now i have already written the service for running the application and bringing the UI in front, all i need to do is Click on the Log In Button.
So there goes my requirement. Can you suggest any way to do it.
Thanks in Advance.

I alredy tried that. The SendWait command is very improbable. I tried and got unlikely results...for at times it would yield expected results and other, nothing would be sent. Anything else that can be done.
Thanks for the suggestion

Maybe you have to use some unmanaged code. Simply speeking, get the Login button's handle and post the click message.

Hi Tan,
How can i determine what message has to be sent.Lets say for the specific UI, for Log In Button the message specified is "&H307". But how can i know that.
I tried using spy++ but couldnt find a way to determine what message has to be sent. I also checked the list of common messages but i dont think they would serve the purpose.
So can u suggest a way how can i know what message has to be sent to trigger a particular button click (on the UI).
Thanks for the help so far.

I do not understand. If you know the server's IP, you can connect it directly without considering the router.

In fact, I use router at home and I could ping other PC successfully. So check the configuration of the router. Maybe that's the real problem.

I sincerely hope those aren't real ip's.
Never post any real data on forums, you never know who is going to see them.
As to your problem.
If you are within the network then you don't need your router.
If not you will probably need to authenticate yourself with the router after which you can then log on to the server.
Or you can set your router to forward requests using remote desktop port (is a specific one but don't remember it right now) to the server.
Then you can connect using the routers ip (or a dyndns address).

Well the servers admin should give you a username / password to enter when surfing to a url or ip. Once you'v done this you then should be able to go to the server. But this all has to be configured on the router (don't ask me how, I'v never done the configuration myself but your admin should know).
I'm shure there are other ways to do this but this is the one we use at my workplace.
No matter how you do it you'll have to be able to make configuration changes to the router, if you can't do that I don't think it's possible.

Hello,
As per your help, i have make router configurations for port forwarding. It works fine, I connect to server. But from the server side i cant able to send maesssages to clients. Is there any configuration is needed for outgoing messages?
Please help me for that.
Thank you in advance.

You'll have to check if the router/firewall allows outgoing messages. (normally it should)
Can the server connect to the client?
Its possible that the clients router/firewall blocks these or that you have to do the same configuration changes as you did with the servers router.
If the client is directly connected to the internet check the pc's firewall settings. (maybe disable it for a moment and check if it works then)

Thank you,
I will check my server n client both sides router checking again if some is missing.
May be now it will work.
Thank you.

For eg:

I need those cursors used in paint. From where i get those cursor, other than the default cursors. From where i can download it?

I do not know where to download the icons, however, you can use some tools to achieve the icons, such as Photoshop.

In Visual Studio 2008...
Right click your project in solution explorer
choose add/new item - select cursor file
edit the cursor the way you want it - also set its hot spot
right click on the cursor file in solution explorer
choose properties and set build action to embedded resource
To load your cursor, assuming you're using forms
this.Cursor = new Cursor(GetType(), "Cursor1.cur");
where "this" is a Form/Control class.

Ohhh (s)he needs the cursors.
I don't know why I assume people want to do their own development...
Never mind then.
p.s. In my defense, maybe I answered what was going to be his/her next question
