You can handle the "TextChanged" event of the "Textbox". so whenever user changes the date. you can handle the event using TextBox.Text Property.
Select the Textbox which bound with the Calendar Extendar, then go to Property window, Select Events and find the "TextChanged", double click and code for .Text Property. Done.

Hi everyone,
I wish to know ..is it possible to create a mail application without opening a new port?I mean I wish to embed this functionality in a sharepoint site which is already using one port and the security restrictions dont allow us to open a new port.Can we use the same port simultaneously to use this mail application?

The only port necessary for SharePoint is 80, standard HTTP, what port are you talking about? Sending an email doesn't require a port to be opened, unless your SharePoint box is also the SMTP server, in which case it would be a bad idea.

I am currently using windows 2003 server which comes with inbuilt sharepoint services and also contains SMTP and POP3 servers.I wish to know if your reply is also applicable for a chat application i.e, do I need to open a port for embedding a chat app in a website or can I implement it without opening any port?Please help!!!

Hindi text font must be installed on client computer. Otherwise it will display some non-readable text.
Try saving the image of HindiText and display that on webpage. It will never create problem.

what does it mean???any other way to solve this problem???

To display the text correctly, hindi font must be installed on client PC, what is not possible.
Take a screen shot of your text and display image in page.
Its simple, i think

There are many ways to do it .
this is an example.
string strdate = String.Format("{0:yyyyMMdd}", DateTime.Now);
Try google, there are lots of example over there .

string date = textBox1.Text;
DateTimeFormatInfo dateTimeFormatterProvider = DateTimeFormatInfo.CurrentInfo.Clone() as DateTimeFormatInfo;
dateTimeFormatterProvider.ShortDatePattern = "dd/MM/yyyy";
DateTime dateTime = DateTime.Parse(date, dateTimeFormatterProvider);
string formatted = dateTime.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy");
response.write(formatted);
I hope this resolves ur problem

I will suggest you to retrieve the required String format here itself . rather than taking it some other format.

If you are using DateTime:
mm is minutes
MM is Month
yourdatevariable.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy");

I have created a link button as signout.
On click of liink button i have done following coding
FormsAuthentication.SignOut();
Response.Redirect("Login1.aspx");
This works only if i try to access any page by typing in url.
but if i click on back button it permits me to visit the page..
Might be my cookies are interfering with this as i have used persistant cookie on the login page..
Please suggest a soln to this

Hi scotchy
The page is probably being cached.
To turn off caching for the page, use this code:
Response.Expires = 0
Response.Cache.SetNoStore()
Response.AppendHeader("Pragma", "no-cache")

Just create datetime types in .net with your current dates
and then use AddMonth with -6 parameter!
try it,just two line of code
