Hi Nidhi,
One probable solution for this is to change the default value of date column from
GetDate()to GetUTCDate() in table defination. This way it will store the date values according to UTC instead of local time zone specific date.

Hi,
I have deployed my all code and it is difficult to change this thing on whole application.Perhaps there is any way using globalization element in web.config.

I guess you can change it on database table's column definition. There is no code change require for this.

protected void btnsubmit_OnClick(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string sqlStr1 = "SELECT * FROM valuess";
dAdapter2 = new OleDbDataAdapter(sqlStr1, connectionString);
dset2 = new DataSet();
dAdapter2.Fill(dset2, "value_name");
dAdapter2.Dispose();
dt2 = new DataTable();
dt2 = dset2.Tables["value_name"];
string radio1;
radio1 = "radioButton_" + dt2.Rows[0]["value_name"].ToString();
RadioButton rb_1 = new RadioButton();
rb_1 = (RadioButton)Page.FindControl(radio1.ToString());
}
I am creating these radio buttons in selection change event of dropdownlist......
|
|
|
|
|
You recreate the radiobuttons in the onclick event of the button.
after that event has ended your radiobuttons do not exist anymore.
You should state in the beginning of the class (not the event)
RadioButton rb_1;
Then all methods and events refer to the same radiobuttons.

i m not getting wat do u want to say,if its UTC time then from where we can make these updation.
N!dh!

The updates are according to UTC timing.
If you will compare :
It is saying 11:00 in place of 4:30. Means there is exact difference of
5:30 Hrs. This is still accurate if you are doing updates according to IST (UTC + 5:30). UTC was formerly known as Greenwich mean time (GMT).
I Hope I answered your question.
Thanks

Hi Ashu
I got this thing,but i m not asking about why this difference,I m asking about how this difference is there.
My database is on same server where my application code reside,if that server is using GMT+5:30 then why its save in database in UTC.its save that date automatically so is there any way to update this date format for database.

So you need to look at what the default for the column is. Assuming SQL Server, getdate() will give you the local date and time.

Have you return any special code for handling the Login operation? I believe the control itself doing that. It uses its one provider which stores the data in UTC timing. You just use CultureInfo to convert to the local timing.

|
|

I have not written any code for saving this data in database,one more confusion is there that how to use CultureInfo for changing TimeZone

I'm trying to get data bound to a dropdownlist, however, when the page is displayed System.Data.DataRowView is being displayed within the drop downlist rather than the result of the SQL query.
Any ideas?
<td>
<asp:DropDownList ID="lstPriority" runat="server" Enabled="False" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource2">
<asp:ListItem>Low</asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem>Medium</asp:ListItem>
<asp:ListItem>High</asp:ListItem>
</asp:DropDownList><asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource2" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:connString %>"
SelectCommand="SELECT [priority] FROM [teamwiki].[dbo].[task_priority_L]"></asp:SqlDataSource>
</td>
