The Windows Service that I made goes on a Data Server.
The way everyone accesses it is by mapping a network drive (to the Data server) on their desktop PC's.
So on the server using FileSystemWatcher can you get their information? The service is running under local system, but the person actually doing the deleting will be using a desktop PC that just has that network drive mapped. How do I get that person's logon name to log that they were the ones that deleted it?

Hi there,
I'm using (trying to use ) webbrowser control in C# windows application.
When I'd like to page down there is a y variable, I'm adding 50 to y and I use
y = y + 50;
webBrowser.Document.Window.ScrollTo(x, y); // like this x=0
So I need to get value of y, when I come to end of the page.
Is there any method of property of webbrowser that returns something which we understand if we come to end of the pages?
Many thanks.
Muharrem.

You can use the AutoScrollOffset Property.

Hi crudeCodeYogi and all,
My code blok is
private void btnPageDown_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Point p = webBrowser.AutoScrollOffset;
y = y + 50;
webBrowser.Document.Window.ScrollTo(x, y);
Point p2 = webBrowser.AutoScrollOffset;
}
Am I doing something wrong or I should do something different.

I said you should use AutoScrollOffset to scroll down to page. But if you need the scroll position i mean x and y then
x = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.X;
y = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.Y;
|
|
|
|
|
Hi again,
My final code block is;
private void btnPageDown_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
int xx = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.X;
int yy = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.Y;
Point p = webBrowser.AutoScrollOffset;
y = y + 50;
p.X = x;
p.Y = y;
webBrowser.Document.Window.ScrollTo(p);
int xxxx = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.X;
int yyyy = webBrowser.DisplayRectangle.Y;
}
I do not understand why I get same values before and after scroll the page.
I just wonder if you use this function and get different values before and after scrolling the page.
There might be a misunderstanding or I have been doing something wrong.
Many thanks for all.

Can you program the micro controller using C#? Otherwise you are lost...

But is there any other control in windows based application to show thousands of company names in that control and also searching of perticular company name should also be easy. Please help me.

may I suggest you'e got your design wrong?
Showing thousands of items, in any control, is extremely flawed. The more items you are showing the less useful the control will be.
Have a think about what you want to achieve.
Does the user have tyo find an unknown item? If so, a search facility would be of more use.
Is the 1000's reduced by the context of the rest of the form? If so, use the rest of the data to drive the content of the list; combo or otherwise.
If you use any well designed interface, online or offline, you will see it reduces the ability of the user to make mistakes. By giving a huge fat list of every item in your database you are inviting the user to pick the wrong item.

Use two controls. The first one allows you to select the company, and once selected, populates the next one, which would be for selecting employees.

Dear All,
I'm Using AT commands and C# to send SMS using a GSM Modem.
I want to try to set the "Sender's Name" to be displayed to the receiver instead of displaying the telephone number.
Can this be done by passing some parameters in the AT commands?
|
|
|
|
|
I think that that would be managed by the recipients cell phone to check the number based off entires in the phone book.
|
|
|
|
|
is there any way to control it by the application which sends the msg??
|
|
|
|
|
No*
*It may be possible to spoof the sms sending phone number, which in turn will spoof the name if the phone book record has that number contained. Don't ask me how, I don't know.
|
|
|
|
|
actually i dont want to spoof, i just want to display a name which i hardcode in my application in their inbox. If they use the reply feature it should reply to the actual sender number.
