Hi all,
I got the following error on my application.
the Current thread must be set to single thread apartment (STA) mode before<br />
OLE calls can be made. Ensure that your Main function has STAThreadAttribute<br />
marked on it. This exception is only raised if a debugger is attached to the<br />
process.
Can someone comment on this, what means is.
Thanks a lot.
I appreciate your help all the time...

Try adding [STAThread] just above your Main function, like this:
[STAThread]
static void Main(string[] args)

Hi All.
I have Data grid and bind it to a bindingSource object.I set bindingsource DataSource property to a list of class A.
my list:
List<da.viwpurchasedetail> lstPVirtualDetails = new List<cooky.da.viwpurchasedetail>();
my Bindingsource:bndDetails
bndDetails.DataSource = lstPVirtualDetails;</cooky.da.viwpurchasedetail></da.viwpurchasedetail>
my grid:dgDetails
dgDetails.DataSource = bndDetails;
Then I add some A object to list But Gridview don't display any thing
DA.viwPurchaseDetail details = new Cooky.DA.viwPurchaseDetail();
details.discount = discount;
details.name = lblProduct.Text;
details.price = price;
details.quantity = quantity;
details.id = CurProduct.id;
lstPVirtualDetails.Add(details);
But my grid don't display any thing.
What's problem?

does 'myprogram.exe' run in taskmanager?
is 'mygprogram' designed to take parameters?

hi
myProgram.exe is not running in Taskmanager. When i test this exe on command prompt by passing parameter, it runs as expected. Myprogram.exe is designed to take parameters.
Thanks

procAStoCS.WaitForExit();
what is procAStoCS ??
Edit - Assuming there was some typo in the code you shared. What happenes or doesnt happen when you run this code i.e. the exe doesn't fire or the parameter is not passed to it ? what does proc.Start return ?

Process proc = new Process();
proc.StartInfo.FileName = @"E:\test\testEXE\myprogram.exe";
proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
proc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
proc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
string str = @"E:\test\testEXE\myfile.cs";
proc.StartInfo.Arguments = str ;
proc.Start(); // Start

ASSL wrote: proc.Start();
proc.Start returns a bool whether the invoke was success/failure. what is it in your case
bool result = proc.Start();
Is the process not being started or is your paramter not being passed ?

Hi
This code
bool result = proc.Start();
Above code return "true" value means that process get start.
Thanks

What makes you say that the code doesn't invoke? What I am trying to understand is, are you expecting some result which is not happening?
A quick test would be putting a writeline to see what the passed in argument is coming as.

I think you are talking about "Size on disk", if its that then Size on disk is calculated by block size, each file saved in blocks. In NTFS, the block size is 4096 bytes( 4 KB ) that mean if your file size is 1 KB then it will take 4 KB, 3 KB will be padding to align the other data. So if you gonna need Size on disk then you can use
(long)Math.Ceiling((double)fileinfo.Length / 4096);
Note : it was about NTFS, dunno about FAT

That's pretty rubbish.
- Cluster size depends on formating options. The default cluster size depends on file system (NTFS, FAT[32], exFAT...) and on the size of the disk.
- Files can be compressed at cluster level which has huge impact.
- Files can be fragmented.
- Files can be on another drive (yes, symbolic links exist on NTFS)
- Sparse files (which by definition don't actually take on the disk their size initially)
- ...

Your form needs to be in a dll, then you can import it, and create instances of it.
