You could use UNC and HTML like so.

e.g. <a href="file://///domain/site/images/scanned/1.jpg" target="_blank">Scanned Image</a>

Hi!!

This code returns me always "no data" even if there is data in the GridView.
I do not see where is the error.

for what purpose ur using the selectionchange event.may be it cant get the template inside the gridview.try it in rowcommand event i think it will work

Try debugging, that helps.
I guess the .FindControl is not finding your "id0", and for a reason.
Imagine you're looking for something, but it's there in front of you, just locked in a box.
Your textbox is in a cell of your .SelectedRow, now I can only assume by your commented-out code it's the first cell.

so do:

TextBox tb = GridView2.SelectedRow.Cells[1].FindControl("id0") as TextBox;

and it should be fine.

var question = (_2b || !(_2b));

I tried your solution but it does not work Frown | :(

I want to have: the value of a cell of selected line in a GridView.
I read that i can do that :TextBox1.Text = GridView2.SelectedRow.Cells[1].Text;
but it doesn't work.

Seriouly? Ok... here goes:

You could change the Text displayed on it
You could change its Width
You could change its Height
You could change its foreground or Background Color
You could change the Tooltip displayed when it is moused-over
You could use an ImageButton and supply an ImageUrl
You could use an ImageButton and supply an AlternateText

and probably a whole load more that i'll leave to your own investigation.

Hi All,

I have a javascript function written in XSL which is having checkboxes in the first column of a table.
I have two questions here
one is I am unable to use < or > symobols in its looping. then I have included a tag also. when I include it everything in it is becoming comment and directly visible on browser.

My second question is I would like to retrieve the cell values of all the checked rows when a buttong is clicked but I am unable to put the check the condition for all checked check boxes in the table I have written my if condition as below

if(document.getElementById('tblQueue').rows[k].cells[1].childNodes[0].checked == true)

Its giving javascript error for this.

can anybody please help me in this, any code snippet or any links will be very much helpfull.

Use < instead of < and > instead of >. The < > get treated as tags.

What is the error you're getting ?

dear friends in my application m having a label control on the parent page and not i want to access this from the usercontrol. i want to change the text property of the label.

I have used this code but it is returning null.

Hi,

I have a login page in my application. (I m using C#)
In that I have disabled Cut, Copy and Paste using Javascript. Its working fine.

But, still user can drag and drop any text in these textboxes.

How can I restrict the use from this?
I dont want to derive any class from Textbox control..

Please advice.

Hi,

I found the solution in javascript only.

It was same as restricting user from Cut, Copy and Paste.

Solution is : ondrop="return false"

Hi all,
to test my web application,am running from different systems simultaneously,on different logins to write a test.My problem is if there is one login,no problem,id second user login,session for the first user is replaced by second user,if one more user login,session is replaces by that.
recently who is login,that session going for all the others too.
How to solve this session clubbing..

I suspect that you are refering to the Session object in a static class, so you have inadvertantly turned the Session object into a singleton.

Show some code of how you access/write to the session for confirmation.

I did not tell you to use a Singleton, I told you not to reference the session statically.

I did also ask you to post some code demonstrating how you read/write to the session to enable me to answer your query more accurately.

Are you using sessions like this, if not you should try it this way:

VB.Net
Session("Test") = "This is a Test Sesion Variable"

c#
Session("Test") == "This is a Test Sesion Variable"

Sounds like IIS in not configured to run your asp.net application.

Please can you give more details. e.g. Operating System / IIS or Apache etc...

hi,i dont think the problem is from IIS 'cause i tried to open it on my PC and it worked(i run it from .net) and i dont have IIS, but when i try run it from a PC on local network it dosnt work and give the following error:

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://localhost:3274/trywebsite/Default.aspx
The following error was encountered:
Unable to determine IP address from host name for unknown server name
This means that:
The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.

but i entered the right address, i dont know the problem!!!!

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
