Iain, is this[^] what you might be looking for?

It does enforce what I've learnt from further digging...
Basically, the ROP modes do not exist. There articles here on CP, but you have to get a fresh DC from the graphics object, and use classic GDI code on them...
Ah well, roll on Direct2d! (Not really, unless it can be run on XP, which the VAST majority of my customers have).
Thanks,
Iain.

I don't understand anything from your question.
If you want to get the selected item, you can use CListCtrl::GetSelectionMark() .

Does that work on a single-select list control?

I bet on yes.

I was just curious as the docs mentioned it in the context of a multi-select list control.

Sure it does. I do it all the time.
But I realized that it does only recently.
Until then I used to do CListCtrl::GetFirstSelectedItemPosition and CListCtrl::GetNextSelectedItem

Hi,
I have created Dialog box in my application.I have added Scroll bar to that dialog.I am displaying images on that dialog( 8 Images for one scroll).If I Scrolling down I am seeing flickers on dialog box images.
Can any one help me.

How are you scrolling the images?
I assume you're first clearing all images and then redrawing them.
Try not to erase the diagrams first. Just draw over the diagrams.

First I am creating static control.I am taking this code in for loop
myStatic[i] = new CStatic
myStatic[i]->Create(_T(""),WS_CHILD|WS_VISIBLE|SS_BITMAP,
CRect(x1,y1,x2,y2),this);
After that I am using that static control for displaying Image.
myStatic[i]->SetBitmap(hbmp);
I am placing this code in one function called "DisplayImages".
I am calling this function for every Scroll.For every scroll I am displaying 8 Images as I told before.
I am not clearing all Images.I am creating new 8 Static controls at same
place on Dialog and I am using satic controls for Displaying new images.

One solution is double buffering. In your OnPaint () handler make a bitmap as big as your dialog and draw the images on that bitmap. Then draw that bitmap in one operation on the dialog using the CDC member.

I am a newer of winpcap. I want to know if there is any difference between a switch network and hub network to capture packet by using winpcap. As I know it seems different between the two kind of network by useing row socket. In the switch network to capture all the packets of the whole computers ,arp cheating is need(as i know).but the hub network needn't. Is it the same by using winpcap?
Thanks in advance.

Possibly it is the ghost of the client that keeps sending messages...

That's a reasonable assumption. I have also read about servers being able to receive messages from beyond the grave. It does require specific hardware though...

Indeed, it works using Li-Fy (Lifeless Fidelity) protocol...
