Yes.

I'm sure that this is just a typo;
cmd = New OleDbCommand("select ITEM_NBR,NPR_DC_NBR,NPR_NBR from E_Ensemb where ITEM_NBR =" + a, cn)
Are you getting an error? If not, does the query return results if you run it manually?

Does the code say
ITEM_NBR" = a, or
ITEM_NBR =" + a, ?

I do hope that you are executing the entire SQL-statement, and not just the piece that I pasted in the previous post
cmd = New OleDbCommand("select * from E_Ensemb where ITEM_NBR = '" + a + "'", cn) How does the SQL statement look if you do it manual? Something like this?
select * from E_Ensemb where ITEM_NBR = '1856977M3'

You're welcome. This is a new question actually, and a lot people won't read it, since it looks like the original question has been answered. New question -> new post
The UNION can be used to combine result-sets, but only if they have the same amount and type of columns. This is allowed:
SELECT 1, 'hello'
UNION
SELECT 2, 'world'
results in:
1, 'hello'
2, 'world'
This isn't allowed:
SELECT 1, 'hello'
UNION
SELECT 2
results in:
1, 'hello'
2, ???
In the latter version SQL server can't "add" the rows into a single set, as they're two different things.
My guess is that you're looking for a JOIN type statement. Do the tables have a corresponding field? Iow, do the tables have a field in common?

Is this..
..homework?
..a job-assignment?
Do you want..
..an application that does these things?
..sourcecode to do these things?

In that case you better start searching as soon as possible

So, when you get out into the real world and get saddled with programming projects, or other projects for that matter, you're just going to go to a website and ask for someone elses work and turn it in as your own?? How much money do you expect to make in a position like that?? Better yet, how long do you think you're going to be employed?

Of course. Post your email address and I'll email it to you. In fact, if you post your principle's and teacher's email addresses, I can even email it to them as well! That way, you can save time distributing your application

Sounds to me like you should buy a book on SQL and read it.

I would suggest if this is a class, you have textbooks. If it's a paid job, then you reap what you sow. Don't take jobs you have no idea how to do.

Hi all... Beena while since my last post but here goes...
I am busy with a report application and I need to add a Image Dynamicaly to the report. The image location should be stored in the app.config file and should be picked up automaticaly by the report when generated. Does anybody have an idea how to do this. I searched the net but didn't come across any articles that explans how to do this.
Thanks in advance

What report-engine are you using? It may be that the report-engine doesn't expect the location in the app.config file.

Instead of getting the report to read the app.config, try passing the location as a parameter

What do you mean. Pass the location as a parameter and set it in the App from the app.config?

Read the location (in your app) on startup from the app.config, and pass the location as a parameter
