swf upload is a mulitple file upload tool based on flash a javascript
ini_set("max_upload_size", "50M"); // i think - 50 MB - in php - there will be equivalent in asp. Change to larger value if needed.
tizag has a good file upload tutorial.
you may also need to edit "max_execution_time"

Hi All,
I am creating a php website hosted on IIS5.1. The IIS is hosted on MachineA (Ip Address 90.0.0.20), which also happens to be the development machine . When I check with the url http://localhost/MachineA/MyWebsite or http://90.0.0.20/MachineA/MyWebsite, it works fine on my machine (MachineA). However when I try to access the same url from any other machine, say MachineB or MachineC(Ip address 90.0.0.21), which too, happens to be on the same LAN, I am not able to access the same. It says "The page cannot be displayed". It not only happens with the PHP hosted website, but the same happens with the ASP website also. The same not only happens with MachineB but with all the machines which are on the same network. I am easily able to access theses each and every machine via explorer from MachineA
Am I missing something?? Is there anything which is blocking the smooth access??
Please help.
Thanking you all in Advance
Regards

Check your firewall allows access through port 80 (http) and 443 (https).

JavaScript runs at the client side, where the button is.
PHP runs at the server, and is unaware of someone clicking a button at the client side.

Right, basically there is no equivalent.
PHP runs before the client sees the web page and only on the server. Javascript/VB run on the client side (browser) after the page has been processed by the PHP. That is why it is called PHP Hypertext Pre-processor.

<?php if($_POST['submit']){
echo "form submitted";
} ?>
<div id="mydiv">This is a div contents</div>
<form name="form1" action="" method="post">
<input type="button" name="mybutton" id="mybutton" onclick="document.getElementById('mydiv').innerHTML = 'my Test'" value="fill div" />
<input type="submit" value="submit" name="submit" />
</form>
The above code shows the difference between javascript & php. Javascript works on the page on the client side ("fill div" btn does not refresh the page). When you "submit" the form the contents of it are sent to the server. There the server sees that a form has been submitted and formats the page as required ( here it writes "form submitted to the beginning of the body text before sending it back to the client).

HI, how do I force the submit of a form in Perl?
I wanna make a script that sends data, through "form style", without the "click-submition-button" part

Cool. I'll have to give it a go.

hi
i am new to linux os. i want to install emax.

Start by unzipping the tar.gz, then there should be a text file called INSTALL or README or somthing like that that will give you detailed instructions on what to do.
If your distro has a package manager available it'd be better to use that to install stuff than to do it manually.
