m_ctrlList.SetExtendedStyle(LVS_EX_FULLROWSELECT) is not working
|
|
|
|
|
Try like:
DWORD dwStyle = m_ctrlList.GetExtendedStyle();
dwStyle |= LVS_EX_FULLROWSELECT;
m_ctrlList.SetExtendedStyle(dwStyle);
|
|
|
|
|
it should set focuse on this ListCtrl,may be focuse problem.
you can try!!
|
|
|
|
|
and then SetItemState(...).
if the focuse isn't on this control, it will not show the selected item.

if (CView::OnCreate(lpCreateStruct) == -1)
return -1;
Thanks

It looks self-explanatory. What part is troubling you?

What don't you understand specifically ? The code is pretty straightforward to understand: if the call to create the view fails, the function returns -1

It probably means you need to read an introductory C++ book (if the syntax confuses you) or an introductory MFC book (if CView is unknown to you)

Is the cursed number -1 , are the strange duplications of the symbols : and = , or, eventually, is the terrible uncertainity conjured up by the if keyword troubling you?

This is funny. My copy and paste didn't work. I had few lines of code after that were causing an assertion failure...but got it to work....

as you know, when a control (e.g a rich edit control) is created, its parent recieves a WM_CREATE. but at that time, the control is not visible yet. is there a way (e.g a special message) to fine out when a child window is create and visible?
Thank you masters!

What about IsWindowVisible() ?

Have a look at WM_NCPAINT, or WM_WINDOWPOSCHANGING - the first will be the first hint of drawing to the screen, and the 2nd may be handy if you look at the fine detail of the changes being made.

Hi @ all,
to capture sound from microphone I use directSound.
Now I want to automate the volume of mic by capturing.
I think it so. I have a min and max value of volume.
If sample is pipe down the minimum it volume should set to
min volume and if it is louder than max should set to max volume.
What I have to do to resolve this?

I don't think that it is that simple. I think you have to somehow normalize what you are getting and then try to fit it between your mentioned min and max. Otherwise everything sounds like ..... . So I think you have to transform the sound waves to fit in you min, max borders somehow.
Cheers

Hi everyone
Can you give give me a good tutorial about MultiClient-Server programming,maybe codeproject has articles about make it or using google we can find a lot info about it but I want to some good tutorials and ofcourse about programming in MFC?
Thanks

MFC has the CSocket[^] class which would be of help to you.
You might want to take a look at the Client/Server Development[^] section of CP. (Use the filter option to view only C++ articles)

For socket development I recommend taking a look at sockets.com. Back in 94 when I started with socket development it was about the only online resource available. There are many good books, or were, and I imagine they are still available.
Multi-Threading is a much larger and more complex subject than socket communications. I recommend the book Advanced Windows. There are many resources on the web also you could start here[^]

Does the root folder name have a space in it? should you be enclosing the parameters in quotes?
Beyond that, I don't see any evidence of you asking this question on the forum for that article. I'm going to assume the author is better placed to help you with his article than we are. Or you could download the source on that article and examine the code with your debugger as it runs.
Good luck,
Iain.
