Hi,
First: you must learn to use AT Commands , search google for (AT+CMGF,AT+CMGS) for example.
second: you must have GSM modem ( or GSM phone with pc connectivity)
Third: learn to use Serial ports in .net
Four: You need a lot of coffee.

Hello,
I have a form with some controls which implement custom validation.
The form also has Cancel and OK buttons wired up as the forms dialogresult buttons. If you press the Ok button the form does not close if a control did not validate, which is good. But the same happens on pressing Abort, although I just don't care about the values anymore... and the form never closes.
How can I disable the forms control validation when pressing the Abort button?
Any help appreciated, thanks,
Andreas
PS: c# .net 3.5, validation in textboxes

On your 'Cancel/Abort' button change the CausesValidation property to false . That's it! Easy peasy!

Unfortunately I do not get the Abort button's click event, because the invalid controls keep focus. Have tried that already...

Is the abort buttons DialogResult property set to Cancel ? Also you might want to set the Forms CancelButton property to point at the Abort button, so that users can press Esc to get out.

Yes, I always wire up Cancel and Ok Buttons like this (in the form AND on the buttons).
Users can also klick the top right "X" to close the Form. But having a working abort button is more intuitive me thinks...

|
|
|

In that case I'm stumped!
I'll keep thinking about it, though.

Hi,
In a AD domain environment, when we set a user's password to expire in say 45 days... during the last 14 or 10 days, the user gets a warning message on gina login saying "your password is set to expire in X days. Do you want to reset your password now?".
I want to know if there's a way to remove this message from prompting users.
There may be any options in ----- AD policy settings OR attribute OR some other hack.
So please help me soon ,how can i give this privilege to system.
Thanks in advance.
Have a nice day.

There is a policy setting that you can change, though I can't remember exactly where it is. I think it was labeled something like "Prompt user to change password before expiration".

how to create such program to call webmethod using windows schedular in C#.net.
Pls help me in this...
Advanced Thanks,

Simply create a Windows Application that calls your Webmethod. You won't have to write code to use the Windows-scheduler, it can start any Windows-application at any given time/interval

I am using a DataGridView to display a ArrayList containing object of my class Student
Student class has three properties viz. Name, GRNo, and Address, all of Type String. DataGridView displays all the three columns. My problem is that Address property should not be displayed.
Is there anyway I could tell DataGridView the order of columns (i.e. GRNo comes first and then Name) and not to bind/display the Address field?

|
|
|
|
Turn autogenerate off and define the columns - right click on the control and you should see it.

Of course. Google for "TWAIN" or "Windows Image Acquisition". You might also want to check with the manufacturer of the scanner to see if they offer a Software Development Kit.
