sscanf should do the trick no?

You first have to convert it to an integer (how to do it depends on what you mean by "string" exactly), increment the integer and then convert it back to a string.
|
|
|
|
|
Well, it's simple:
- Convert the string to a numeric value.
- Increment the numeric value
- Convert back the numeric value to string
What are your troubles in doing that?
Too slow Carlo, too slow...

Why can you not just use an integer instead of exploring ways to misuse a string?

Well, exporing double roundings is even more fun...

i like it. 8 bits for each digit instead of 1/ln(|digit|). how many times are you incrementing?

I want to search all data in a registry using a single file or folder entry using C++, MFC

Suppose I have C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageEnterprise on my PC and there are some .exes and other files in that folder. I want to find out all information or settings of "Acronis" software using any files or folders from C:\Program Files\Acronis folder.
This functionality I want to write using c++/MFC
|
|
|
|
|
Different programs do it differently. Some store their stuff in the registry, some have their own .inf (or .ini) file, some use the win.ini file. Some encrypt the data before putting it up and decrypt it on the fly.
So, finding out "ALL information or settings" of a software would be possible if you have written the software yourself.

Softwares use registry to store relevant data. These keys are created in some specific locations. If you know the registry locations you can write a function to read the keys and the values. TO do this use: RegOpenKey etc. Alternatively you can use CRegistry class as well. [Search google for this]
You need to google first, if you have "It's urgent please" mentioned in your question.

Hi, I have an application which uses hot-key to trigger some action. Everything is ok but when deployed on faraway computer user reported error message pop up saying errno: 1813 "The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file". The default setting use 'Win key' as modifier. So I'm figuring maybe on his keyboard there is no 'win' key.
Is there a way to find out this, so then I could set other modifier (like ALT...) as default?
Thanks in advance.

Some more feedback!
I contacted the user and error message reappears no meter what modifier key selected (ALT, CTRL, SHIFT or WIN), also he has the WIN key on his keyboard.
This is strange behavior for me. Why is my code running ok on all computer in my office and not away? How can simple action that registrar hotkey returns such error.

Hai!
I am developing an dialog based application in embedded Visual C++ for an WIN CE 5.0 operated device, The application deals with Smart card so i have to use the WINSCARD.lib and functions such as SCardEstablishContext (), SCardConnect ()...etc.
i have downloaded Pocket PC 2003 SDk but it doesn't support WINSCARD.lib
when I try to build the solution in emulator (debug/release)i get an error as
error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _SCardEstablishContext referenced in function "public: void __thiscall CVizzyDlg::OnDropdownCombo1(void)" (?OnDropdownCombo1@CVizzyDlg@@QAEXXZ)
if i try to build solution in ARM (debug/release) i get error as
errorLNK2111: Module Machine type 'THUMB' conflicts with target machine type 'ARM
So what is the correct SDK i have use that supports Winscard.lib or do i need to make some other change?
Thanks!

Perhaps you are using the incorrect version of the winscard.lib. There exist several versions under this name. Try to change the librarty search directory order to ensure you are use the correct one.
Hope helps.
