whatever file i download from the article section of vb
they don't run
i double click on the vbproj file and it says
this file was not made for vs or something like that
and in the title bar of opened window it shows vs2005
but i am using vs2008

If you are running VS 2008 are you ensuring that the projects you download are also VS 2008 compatible?

Would be useful when replying to posts. Sometimes information given to locale specific. So in the forums instead of [Icon] Name
you would see
[Flag][Icon] Name
|

That would result in 2 things
1. People lying about their country
2. People judging the question by the poster's country, not by the content of the question.
A bad and unnecessary idea.

Thanks for that on my profile page, but clicking on it takes me to a page[^] which has no description about MVP award.
May be the CP team is just working on it and I caught them even in the middle of an upload, but hey - we're watching!

Hi everyone!
I've a suggestion to make: what about some message board like coding horrors, where everybody can post small code excerpts,
with the difference that instead of being a coding horror, it has to be particulary elegant or efficient solution for a concrete problem...
Of course we can find that kind of code in many articles, but sometimes you can find a few lines of code, that are particulary appealing.
So I think it would be fun to have some nice little code excerpts to admire

Something like this would be a forum I would like to give a lot of exposure to.
How about I remove the 'Subtle Bugs' forum from the homepage and replace it with 'Wicked Code'.
Alternatively I could change Subtle Bugs into 'Wicked Code' and have it cover not just cool code stuff, but interesting, subtle and elegant solutions to subtle bugs.

I think changing "Subtle Bugs" into "Wicked Code" is a good idea. Especially for beginners it can teach a certain way of thinking. Personally, I'm actually missing my daily "Ah-great-I-learned-something-cool" on Codeproject, because when I'm at work and I do a short break, I don't have time to read a full article attentively, but I would definitly love to see some "wicked code" I'm sure Wicked Code would add this experience to CodeProject 
It might even help to improve the article quality; in my impression there have been a lot of articles in the last month that would better fit in a solid "Wicked Code" post, than in an article.

Hello,
In my article Home-Made XP Panel[^] the ZIP for the gradient panel is incorrect after it has been edited by The Code Project. Since I can't edit it myself and I have no idea where to post this question, I've just posted it here. If the location for this post is incorrect, please say so. The executable in the "Release" folder of the Gradient ZIP (v1.1) is similar to the one of the older version (v1.0) and thus it doesn't show any gradients. Please update this error
