I believe there are tools that can create XML that matches, the thing is, a schema matches more than one format, some groups of elements can have a variety of numbers of instances. Also, a schema doesn't really give you enough info to create 100% compliant XML, just a format.

Hi, thanks for looking
Im having a problem with my dataset
I have an Orders table and a details table
I want to save the total of the order in the orders table
My dataset has the same exact structure as my db tables
Orders:
OrderID
Total
Details:
DetailID
OrderID
ProductID
Price
When i try to save (using tableadaptermanager) im having problems
At first, i would get an error saying "The column mapping from SourceColumn 'Total' failed because the DataColumn 'Total' is a computed column.", So i removed the expression column before saving
But now, a 0.00 is being saved in the Total column in the DB
The best solution i see is removing the expression and iterate throug the orders table and recalculate the total manually
Any suggestions?? (Besides doing it manually
Thanks in advance

Part of learning ASP.net is also about having a good understanding of basic web practices (in my opinion) that you can learn at www.w3schools.com but I also use www.asp.net a lot too.

It may be permissions. The account running the application pool may not have permissions to open excel.
BTW, if you are not using a pre-formatted spreadsheet then you don't need to use excel...
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

I have the following coding but when I build it it gives me following error
public static DataFeedEntities2 entities = new DataFeedEntities2();
var type = (from p in entities.Address select p);
this.GridView2.DataSource = type;
this.GridView2.DataBind;
ERROR:-- Only assignment, call, increment, decrement, and new object expressions can be used as a statement
|
|
|
|

I would remove public static from the code
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

No it doesn't solve my problem when I remove public static from my code
|
|
|
|

then change DataBind; in DataBind();
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

Hi,
I have few controls in table. When I resize the IE these controls are not wrapping.i.e. they will be in single line when I make the IE smaller.
Any idea?
<table id="FilterBar" border="0">
<tr>
<td><select name="_ctl26" id="ddlField" >
<option selected="selected" value="entity_name">Name</option>
<option value="DS_mnem">DS Mnemonic</option>
</select></td>
<td><select name="_ctl26" id="ddlField" >
<option selected="selected" value="entity_name">Name</option>
<option value="DS_mnem">DS Mnemonic</option>
</select></td>
<td><select name="_ctl26" id="ddlField" >
<option selected="selected" value="entity_name">Name</option>
<option value="DS_mnem">DS Mnemonic</option>
</select></td>
<td><select name="_ctl26" id="ddlField" >
<option selected="selected" value="entity_name">Name</option>
<option value="DS_mnem">DS Mnemonic></option>
</select></td>
</tr></table>

A TD is not going to fall below another TD, it is what makes it a table. The TDs are shrinking down to the smallest they can go. As an alternative try using DIV tags I think it will get you a bit closer to what you are looking for.
<div>

I can use a session variable in my vbscript but I get an error when I add the following line in the html to reference the code behind file.
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default3.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default3" %>
The error is:
The Session does not exists in the current context.
I want to use the code behind file, so how can I get this error to go away?
|
|
|
|
|
The class Default3 in the file Default3.aspx.cs should be inherited from System.Web.UI.Page class. If not, you will get this error.
|
|
|
|
|
That is code that the VS designer automatically wrote. Do you mean I have to change it?
|
|
|
|
|
I tought you had fixed your problem
Why dont you paste your code? Maybe some could help you
If it was working and then after adding that line its not
The problem could be with your class
Why dont you add a new page (select the option to use the code behind page)?

Below is the html and code behind I'm working on.
The error I get is "The Session does not exists in the current context."
The error is referring to this session variable in the code: Session("DocumentFile")
If I remove this line the error goes away but I need my code behind file.
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default3.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default3" %>
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default3.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default3" %>

I found the problem. If I change Session("DocumentFile") to Session["DocumentFile"] everything works great!

Thats right
You were using vb syntax to access the session Session("name")
And in your code is c#

Hi,
In my application am using repater control of item template hyperlink button in one page. i want to navigate another page when i click the link butoon through code behind. plz give me reply.
|
|
|

If you want to navigate in code behind, use a link button, because a hyperlink, is going to navigate without any sort of postback.
