Hi Kidya,
My friend Elliota asked a very awkward question, "Do you have .NET framework installed?"
Rediculous and should be red flagged. Can you debug a .NET project without the framework?! Rather, .NET Framework was already installed in your system when you installed VS.NET (incase you have not installed the framework earlier).
Well, regarding your problem, I would say that, maybe some file needed to run the applications have gone corrupted. Needless to say, but either you've to repair VS.NET or re-install it.
Depends on you,
Cheers,

You're a tool, my initial post of asking if the .net framework was installed was redundant due ot the lack of information provided in the OP.
You're such a tool, go away.

It is an all too common mistake.
Rajdeep.NET wrote: Rediculous
That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, apart from you questions.
Your solution is just wrong. If you had any knowledge what-so-ever, or by reading the other posts (like EliottATM), you would realize that they are using the wrong version of the framework.

You're making a rather huge assumption. It IS possible to debug an app on another machine without having Visual Studio running on it. It's also possible that this person was testing his app on a test machine, without Visual Studio on it, and this is the error he got.
You made the mistake of assuming that you HAD TO HAVE the .NET Framework and Visual Studio installed to debug an app. How silly of you...

Hi Kidya,
I think that the CLR of your framework was messed up. Do one thing. If you're working on VS.NET 2005, then re-install .NET Framework 2.0, else if VS.NET 2008, I would suggest you re-install Framework 3.5.

You're wrong again, you tool.

This is the third time you've insulted me and I am yet quite. Dont judge my patience just because I respect you, as a programmer.
Well, if you think that I'm wrong, then why dont you find her a solution.
PS: Stop giving wrong links to people here in the forum.

You're an idiot, I gave her a link, she never said it was wrong. I will continue to insult you as long as you show no respect for the people here by refusing to learn anything yourself and keep on attempting to have people do your work for you, especially when it is malicious.
You have a pattern, you ask for work repeatedly and when people get fed up, you apologize and say how it's not your fault we are the masters blah blah blah, and finally you say you're quitting forever. And then you come back with more stupid sh*t hoping to get more code.
What's worse is not you give people faulty answers, and have them potentially waste time. My link was a suggestion to a probably solution to a problem, you simply stated to reinstall the framework twice with no evidence your solution will work, and no disregard to the viability of reinstalling the framework (what was it, 3 times you stated??).
So go on, keep posting suggestions for malicious snippets of code, but stop potentially compromising the stability of another persons environment. If you don't know how to write to a file you definately don't know how to solve anyone else's questions.

Explain whats the 'sh*t' here? So, now this becomes the 4th time your are insulting me. You want to make things personal. Fine.

The sh*t here is you suggesting random time-consuming 'solutions' which are in no way validated by any research at all.
You're a tool talking out of no where with absolutely no research or education and I, for one, am sick and tired of it.

Good thing about Access is its a file!...
System.IO.File.Copy("old file path", "new file path", true);
There, perfect copy

I want to make tabs for each "new" button clicked...i have made simple notepad..with richtextbox. How now to use this richtextbox with tabs..so every new tab would have richtextbox?
Thanks

So I assume you have a tabControl somewhere and a button to add new tab page?
the tabControl has a collection of tabpages that you can add/remove tabs, so in your button click event do something like...
TabPage newPage = new TabPage();
TabControlMain.TabPages.Add(newPage);
RichTextBox rtb = new RichTextBox();
rtb.Location = new Point(0, 0);
rtb.Size = newPage.Size;
newPage.Controls.Add(rtb);
It may need some slight changes to the code to get it to work as I have not tested it, but hopefully you will get the idea

Ok i have now one Big problem...when i click on this new button..it makes new tab without name...and with richtextbox in it. Original tabpage is working fine with copy and paste etc.
Now i would like to do few things:
1. Name the new tab
2. Docking of new one same as original--Fill
3. Copy & paste & and changing font for all the tabs not only original one
When i click new button i put name of RichTextBox to richTextBox1 like original one..after making new tab without name and docking..copy , paste, font style works only in original tab with original richtextbox which i added with designer...
Please help me with that

How to apply dock style of new tabpage? I can't find on the internet...and second thing is how to make that copy and such functions would work on all new tabpages not only original?!
|
|
|
|

In the Tabpage class there is a list of properties[^], one of which is the dock[^] property which accepts a dockstyle[^] value which can be None, top, bottom, left, right and fill .
Hope this get's you started.

Aljaz111 wrote: 1. Name the new tab
new tab name can be change with the .Text property
Aljaz111 wrote: 2. Docking of new one same as original--Fill
the docking of the tab page with depend on the tabcontrol so assume you mean the RichTextBox, whcih has a property called .Dock in which you can apply a DockStyle each time you create a new instance of the RichTextBox
Aljaz111 wrote: 3. Copy & paste & and changing font for all the tabs not only original one
when you do the copy/paste/font function then you need to loop all available tab pages in the tab control and then set then do whatever in the loop, not just with each one.
when you set the name of the RTB try setting it to use a numeric value based on the number of tab pages display...
rtb.Name = "RichTextBox" + tabControl.TabPages.Count;
when you want to access all RTB's then try something like...
int count = 0;
foreach(TabPage page in TabControl1.TabPages)
{
count++;
RichTextBox rtb = (RichTextBox)page.Controls["RichTextBox" + count];
}

It works just fine..thank you man!! One thing more.. when i try to save all modified tabs.. how to?? This code doesn't work correctly..it shows just one save dialog..else just question if i would like to save changess..here is code..
private void frmMain_FormClosing(object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e)
{
int count = 0;
foreach (TabPage page in tabControl1.TabPages)
{
count++;
RichTextBox richTextBox1 = (RichTextBox)page.Controls["RichTextBox" + count];
temp = richTextBox1;
if (temp.Modified)
{
DialogResult result = MessageBox.Show("Do you wish to Save changes?", "Save Changes", MessageBoxButtons.YesNoCancel);
if (result == DialogResult.Yes)
evtSave_Click(sender, e);
else
if (result == DialogResult.Cancel)
e.Cancel = true;
}
}

well the code you have there for setting the font is in a loop so it will do it for every run of that loop i.e. for every tab page.
if you want to do things for just the selected tab page then instead of looping all the tab pages in the tab control. you can simple use the tab controls 'SelectedTabPage' property...
RichTextBox richTextBox1 = (RichTextBox)TabControl1.SelectedTabPage.Controls["RichTextBox" + count];
FontDialog f = new FontDialog();
if (f.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK)
richTextBox1.Font = f.Font;
