Not sure if I can do that easily or efficiently
Search has to be done via a full-text index and due to the size of the forums and full text index we really only want to have the index use a single column. Having an option to include/exclude the sigs is a PITA.

Well, I asked for this "Include sig in search" feature, *if* you were going to implement "exclude sig", which anyways would want extra columns. I'm completely agreeing with you if you're thinkin' this whole idea has to be dropped.

Hi there,
I recently posted my first article on codeproject, but I believe there was a bug in the submission process.
The wizard kept complaining that I hadn't filled in the "author"-field, but here was no author field there, only a co-author field (and I had no co-authors on this one). The error message was clearly misleading, so to be able to proceed, I tried a lot of tweaks to the fields and info I had entered. It wouldn't allow my own username (4638203) in the co-author field, so I tried 4638202 instead (just to get along in the wizard), which it accepted. However, now it seems I'm not the registered owner of the article. It doesn't appear under "my articles", and I can't edit it.
My username is 4638203,
and the article I posted can be found at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/Searchable.aspx.
I tried mailing webmaster@codeproject.com, but only get an error message in reply. Can somebody help me on this issue?
Regards,
Espen

I don't think webmaster (at) codeproject.com would succumb any email delivery failures. If you could clarify with the error message then some one from CP (Site) Admin team can help you out.

That article was posted under the Kingfisher22 account (member 4638202) and has been edited by an editor (Smitha).
Is that article actually your article and not Kingfisher22's? I'll try and get this sorted out.

CP Team,
This is with reference to CP Terms of Service Page (http://www.codeproject.com/info/TermsOfUse.aspx[^]). I would bring to your kind attention that points like 12 at least should have their subpoints in ordered bullet (OL) points instead of unordered (UL) items so that in case of any violation, the ticket against the offender can be booked easily.
The recent issue of 'Rajdeep .net' is a typical example where the violation of ToS was in point 12 (subpoint 26) which reads as "Impersonate any person, including an employee ... "

Hi Vasudevan,
I will definitely consider you to test run my site, if I ever develop a public site.

1 - Can't Acces Who's Who at CP -0 But it appears you are aware.
2 - Using the BOLD or ITALICS options is giving me incorrect stuff, I have to physically type in the HTML.
3 - (OK I Said a Couple) The Quote button is working but not greying, is this a feature?

I'll need a little more info than "incorrect stuff"

As in: the text that is quoted isn't in grey?

I haven't seen a Number of views feature in Code project. That is, the number of views by other members that a post has had.
It would be a nice feature.

How do you count a view? If the message is in a page of messages being viewed when they are in 'expand all' mode? When the message is clicked on in Normal mode? What if someone is scanning through the messages using Ctrl left/right arrows? Does opening a message then count as a read?

I can only look at a message by expanding it right? So I am assuming the answer is when I expand it to view it, that would count as 1 view.

My account seems to be switching itself with the same email address. When I logoff, then log back in my name and ID changes. I would like to use my old name with the supertext CaptainSeeSarp which I was just using earlier today, but my account switched itself again.
