Not for me it isn't. I couldn't care less.

If you can't tell the difference between C# and Java, you're not even qualified to stuff envelopes for a living.

Not to be pedantic but you really shouldn't swallow exceptions. If you are going to swallow the exceptions then you probably don't need to throw them. An if statement is way more appropriate.

can anyone please tell how can i put multiple forecolors for my text in one textboxx only in c#. thanks in advance.
Hi,
that can't be done, a TextBox has a single foreground color, a single background color, a single font, etc. that applies to the entire content. If that does not suit you, have a look at the RichTextBox Control.

I had an in-process dll which is developed in vs2005 in c#. How can make a setup of this to
install/uninstall an client machine?
Through the setup, how can I register my dll in registry.
In the setup I have to include .Net framework2.0 also.
Simultaneously, I have to insert other dll(XYZ.dll) in a specified folder(C:\ABC).
How can I do all these through a single setup?

How to change the dragging bar's background of splitcontainer in C#?
Many thanks!
who can help me on it? thanks!
The only way I know to do this is to set the BackColor property of the SplitContainer to the color you want. You then have to set the BackColor for Panel1 and Panel2 to SystemColors.Control, or whatever you normally use.

hello every body,
i use a datagrid view bounded to a datasource, but i can't update the changes happens in it.
although, i've added the insert, update & delete queries i also use a dataset with a tableAdapter .
and this what iam doing in the onSaveButton_Click:
try
{
dataGridView1.EndEdit();
this.visitorTableAdapter.Update(this.omvDataSet.visitor);
omvDataSet.AcceptChanges();
MessageBox.Show("Changes saved successfully");
}
catch (Exception ex)
{ MessageBox.Show(ex.Message); }
so, what is the right solution to accomplish what i want.

hi,
what's wrong now? code looks good, but you don't need to .AcceptChanges() because .Update() does it for you.
kind regards
ok i removed .AcceptChanges()
now i tried to delete then i had this exception:
Update requires a valid DeleteCommand when passed DataRow collection with deleted rows.

Hi,
are you sure you filled all commands of DataAdapter? There are InsertCommand, UpdateCommand, DeleteCommand and SelectCommand (last is filled by constructor, normally).

Hi,
yes i did filled these commands by the dataset designer but, i found that i have to add them into the properties window by myself and now it's working.
thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.

Hi to all
I am trying to add windows assembly to the GAC using the following command in the command prompt.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC>gacutil /i C:\WINDOWS\system32\odb
c32.dll
But it is not being install and I am getting the following error.
"Failure adding assembly to the cache: The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest."
I am not getting the reference of the assembly neither in the .NET Assembly nor in the COM objects.
Can anyone tell me how can I install this assembly in the GAC.
Thanks in advance
Amit

hi,
did you sign your assembly? Project Properties --> Signing --> Sign the assembly
kind regards
Hi,
why would you want that? the GAC is for managed code DLLs only, odbc32.dll is a native code DLL, it is fine where it is.

You don't need curtains with Windows, Microsoft hid some termination commands under "Start", of all places.
